Charming and unique. The best part was sitting in the upper deck and watching the night sky.

Great location on Stock Island just minutes away from Duval Street. Very quiet with great locals living next door. Two excellent restaurants in the Hogfish grille and Roostica are within walking distance. This is living like locals! This is not the Waldorf Astoria. Enjoy the scenery and if your lucky, the Manatees that visit tha area.

Staying on Brian's boat was an amazing life experience. The boat was cozy and quiet. It was just as described. The entryway was a bit of a challenge, mostly because I was scared of falling, but once I figured that out, I got to be good at getting to the door. but probably not a great experience for someone who has balance issues. The best part were the Manatees swimming outside the bedroom windows. It was incredible and I wouldn't have traded that experience for the world. Staying in a boathouse is not without a few challenges, but if you are able to adapt you won't regret it. There are a couple of great places close by that the locals eat at with great food and friendly people. Key West is pretty awesome, but for me, part of the charm was this house boat and the surrounding area...all within a short drive to the hustle and bustle

Brian was AWESOME. Super communicative and nice, the house boat was BEAUTIFUL..when he said it was in a quite area my boyfriend and I did not know what to expect and were a bit skeptical. When we settled in and soaked how eclectic the boat was we realized how lucky we were. A little further from Duval street and downtown than we had wanted but we made it work. The boathouse neighbors, Keith and his friend Dennis made the trip extra special by showing us the local hot spots and making us home made chili. If you are looking for a REAL experience (rather than a pampered one you can get anywhere) then I 100% recommend this.

The exceptional thing about this experience was being directly on the water in Key West. The upper deck offered us views of the bay/harbor, wildlife, and all the lights on the water, including 3 shooting starts. This is an old boat with tons of character and a fantastic location. Appreciated the"Old Bay" seasoning in the cupboard.
