ABOUT THE PLACE:

SECOND FLOOR ONLY AND MAIN ENTRANCE IS SHARED.
You will use the whole second floor, with 1 bedroom only.
This is a bedroom with 1 queen-sized bed. Right beside the bedroom is your private bathroom.

EXPLANATION: This is just a bedroom accomodation and we close the door to the first floor bedrooms to separate the first floor and the second floor. We rent the first floor to other guests but the second floor with your bedroom is exclusively for your private use only!
NO WORRIES, as your space on the second floor will be a completely separate indoors from the first floor. Once you get inside your accomodation, you will have your complete privacy!
You also have your own keys and own keybox. The other guests have no access to your place. The only place you will share is THE MAIN ENTRANCE.

The whole SECOND FLOOR with the stairs is off-limits to other guests. The other guests will only be at the first floor during their whole stay. If the first floor is vacant, then the main entrance will be exclusive to you!

Guest access
No grocery stores are open on Sundays and holidays! And they often closes at 18:00 (6 o'clock in the evening).

IMPORTANT TO NOTE:
Be aware that Eidfjord is a small town with only 2 grocery stores, a gasoline station with grocery, a few souvenier stores, a convenience store and 1 foodtrailer which sells Asian/Thailand foods.

So I advice you to eat already from other towns especially if you are arriving late in the evening. No eating utensils and dining furnitures available.

If you prefer to dine out, Eidfjord has nice hotels with restaurants that can offer you great dining experience. The availability however varies depending on the season.

During the winter season, hotels and restaurants are closed.

But groceries/supermarkets are open the whole year!

IMPORTANT NOTE: Eidfjord town is very popular and busy during summer!

The speed limit is only 60km/hour and we are on a countryside road. But big cars and big trailers might still drive by.
On the positive note, being near the road makes our place very easy to find. No complicated streets to navigate, no need to climb mountains, cross seas, or traverse desert sands. WE ARE NOT isolated in the forest, in a remote off-grid cabin in the woods that has no running water, no electricity, without mobile phone signal and no wifi.

Ok, lets be real! Our place is actually BEST - ONLY FOR those seasoned travelers who always eat adventure for breakfast and most likely have curiosity for lunch! In other words, we only welcome travelers who are open-minded and flexible and are willing to just ride the tide!

4. STRICTLY NO LATE CANCELLATIONS! Please follow our cancellation policy - late cancellations have no money-back guarantee.
Contact your travel insurance for refunds!

5. PLEASE DO NOT BOOK if you do not agree with any of these conditions. I am doing my best to be honest with you so there will be no surprises later on.
Negative reviews about what you are already informed about will be taken down.
And do not give lower scores because of things you would like to have, which we do not have and do not list. A little tip is to read my listing carefully. You can't give review based on what you wished to have. That you would prefer to live in a fancy penthouse than with us. You paid for what you get, even more. Sadly, nothing in this beautiful country is cheap, only our accomodations.

What's for breakfast: Lots of milk with a dash of coffee!
I am a mother of 3 very active kids of ages 16 (girl), 9 (boy) and 4 (boy). They love outdoor sports specially cycling and join cycling competitions in other towns and cities in Norway. My husband taught them the passion in cycling and his love to explore in his bike. The whole family also take great pleasure hosting and warmly welcoming our wonderful guests in our “home away from home" house in Eidfjord. With years of hospitality background by profession, (husband and me are both nurses) we have decided to re-align our passions and experiences in order to pursue other things we also love to do, which is, to "entertain people from all walks of life". Our travels has inspired us to open, not only our "hearts" but also "our home" to travellers who are looking for a place to stay, a bed to sleep and a kitchen to do their meals, in their own and with lots of privacy. I also think of trips the whole family had taken. I made it a point that whatever you’ve needed when you’re away from home is probably something you will find in my house. My journey as a host has been nothing but extraordinary! It has become a passion of mine to make every guests' experience a comfortable one. Every meeting is a new friendship found. To this day, I still look forward to meeting new travelers, as well as welcoming back old friends.  My family has been living in Eidfjord for almost 12 years now and we just love the place! It's a very cozy neighbourhood. You get to know and chat with the local shop and boutique owners. Great bunch of people, friendly and welcoming! Eidfjord is also a tourist destination by land (mountains and tourists spots) and by water (international cruise ships/boats) which is a bonus.  Hope you enjoy your stay as much as my previous guests did!  Welcome to Eidfjord!
