We've been staying at this guest house, every year, for the past 10 years. We first came as a couple and now have 3 children aged between 2 and 11. We absolutely love everything about the house and area. There's everything you need to unwind: there's the beautiful, quiet farmland surrounding the house, where we walk, cycle and visit the local donkey to feed him apples. There's a gorgeous garden where we've spent many warm evenings eating our meals (bought from the market in the nearby town Nérac) and drinking the local wine. We've watched many a sun set and gazed at the Milky Way from that garden (no light pollution), got the children up to watch the annual meteor shower (Perseids) in deckchairs. Even the 'orages' are a sight to behold! The addition of the swimming pool has perfected our stay as the children jump in and out of it all day whilst we lounge in the sun. When we feel like venturing out, there's a 'go ape' type place a short drive away which is suitable for all the family. There's pony and horse riding and kayaking there too if heights aren't your thing. The nearby villages always have some evening events going on - any excuse to pull out their trestle tables for a communal feast or feast-and-fireworks or feast-and-dance or feast-and-melon-spitting-competition (you get the idea). In short: it's a rural haven which we have come to rely upon to re-charge our batteries and to make wonderful family memories. Thanks to Mark and Dani for all your help and for letting us use the great facilities.
