Great location
100% of recent guests gave the location a 5-star rating.
We live in this beautiful house from 1892, built by the first mayor of West Bethlehem and overlooking the Lehigh Valley, and we love welcoming guests! We are centrally located in a quiet part of downtown Bethlehem, a 10-minute walk to the restaurants and shops of historic Bethlehem and within easy reach of the major destinations in the area. During the past few years we have worked hard to renovate the house, incl. the guest room and the guest bathroom. You will love to see the original detail!

The space
There is beautiful woodwork throughout the house and we are currently in the process of bringing out the original beauty of the house. You will stay in a comfortable bedroom on the second floor with access to your own newly refurbished bathroom.
We implement the Airbnb cleaning protocol. We have disinfectant wipes available for you in the space and made the check in procedure as "contactless" as possible. We both have been fully vaccinated.

Where you’ll be

Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, United States

Our family-friendly neighborhood offers a nice mixture of small and large homes. The views of the Lehigh Valley are spectacular. When the leaves are gone you can see the historic Moravian buildings from our home. Lehigh University, SteelStacks, and the local festivals (Musikfest!) are very close. Although Bethlehem Steel is no longer producing steel, some of the trains are still running. You can sometimes hear them in the downtown area when it's quiet. There are excellent restaurants on both sides of the Lehigh River.

I grew up in the Netherlands, lived in Germany for eight years and have been in the United States since 2004. I am a historian and love to research and to write but I also like to try out Indonesian recipes and to bake German pastries.
