The space

The cottage is self contained, between the farmhouse courtyard and the garden. It is furnished for my family and friends so I've taken care to make it comfortable and warm.

Guest access

You have private use of the cottage. Use of the garden is only shared if I am at home.

Interaction with guests

If I am at home in the main farm house I can offer further support to your stay, such as access to the washing machine in my laundry, or even a lift to local restaurants if you plan some fine dining beyond the wonderful Oystercatcher - for example Inver restaurant at Strathlachlan, or the Creggans at Strachur.

Other things to note

Provisions: There is a farm produce hut at the next farm on the coast road for eggs and seasonal vegetables & their rare cheese. There are good village stores half an hour away in each direction - Kames and Strachur. Every Wednesday a van-shop comes by with fresh fish, fruit and veg.
The single track roads to Otter Ferry are a popular feature of the journey to and from this special location. (Use the passing places - don't pull off on to green patches which may be very soft).

We had a fantastic stay at Nicola's place. The cottage is beautiful and very well kitted out. It's in a lovely secluded spot but only a short walk to the fab little village pub. The surrounding scenery is beautiful. Perfect for a weekend away from it all. Would highly recommend!

Lovely 3 night stay here. Very comfortable and cozy and well appointed. Fabulous location. Secluded without feeling isolated. Fabulous restaurant within 5 minutes which we frequented. Nicola was a lovely hostess. Great communication and very helpful but left us to ourselves, but I have no doubt would have been on hand if we'd had any issues. Would highly recommend.

Nicola is the perfect host with a beautiful home and gorgeous dogs. If you are looking for a truly relaxing time I'd thoroughly recommend Otter Ferry. From the fluffy dressing gowns to the grapes, wine, shortbread and lit fire we were welcomed with to the inspiring artwork on the walls and unparalleled views. The friemdly Oyster Catcher pub just a stone's throw away and the exquisite Inver Restaurant a 20 min drive away. Just perfect...
