What there is to say about our stay here is simply location, location, location! Stay for more than one day if you can, and climb to see the waterfalls on this property. Then, stand a moment, look around. It's amazing. Kirkufell (the most famous mountain in Iceland) is easily visible, so is the sea, the pasture, and the sheep. Now that I'm home, I go back to it in my mind. Beyond all that, our hosts were friendly, welcoming and accommodating. Their kitchen is set up for travelers, making everything easy. We were very interested in our hosts, the origins of the farm and more, and they were responsive. I think they would have left us to ourselves if we'd seemed to prefer it. I would stay here again without a moments hesitation.

The host was nice. He gave us tips around the area. The location is beautiful. The house is between two walkable waterfalls surrounded by mountains. The room is quite small it was not so comfortable with a baby but other than that was ok.

I'm so glad we got to stay on a farm on this trip! It was cleaner than you would expect a place in the middle of the farm to be - but do keep in mind, this is a farm and there is livestock around the house. I would recommend this place.

Our hosts were an absolute delight and the place was a dream! The house is on a farm at the end of the town so fairly accessible to the town and yet secluded! The hosts gave us directions to get there and it was quite easy to find the house. We booked the room with 2 beds and both my husband and I found it to be comfortable. We preferred staying at a place where we can get a flavor of the local life and were ok not having a full/queen size bed to share. The bathroom was clean and adequate and the kitchen was also available for us to use. The hosts were kind and allowed us to use the kitchen at almost 10 o' clock at night even though we did not provide an advanced notice. They also made us fresh coffee in the morning and welcomed our company for breakfast. Our car battery died and the host went out of his way to go to town, grab cables and give us a jump start! We loved our stay there and recommend it highly if you care about the local experience and enjoy learning about the place and people there!

Our names are Ragnar and Guðfinna, we have been married for over thirty years and have 5 children. We live on the farm, containing sheep, horses, chickens, dogs and cats. The family has lived on the farm since 1901, and therefore all the houses built by our family.
You are welcome to stay with us in the rooms that we grew up in.
