Ubari is a private, furnished room located in the Elysium house. Part Esalen, part Burning Man, part Paris salon, Elysium is an oasis for Silicon Valley newcomers. We're close to Stanford, Sandhill Road, and many tech companies. Stay with us!

Note: This room has a _shared_ bathroom that see heavier use than most bathrooms in the house (it's on the first floor, and is the most accessible). If sharing a bathroom is a big turnoff for you, we recommend you choose one of our other rooms.

The space

Think TED, but in a hot tub, and surrounded by fire spinners. We plan to host frequent events and salons, ranging from aerial silk performances, to cryptocurrency meetups, to improv comedy. Our mission is to gather the best people from all walks of life and smash them together, super collider style, and see what happens. Giant fighting robot builders, secret billionaire anti-heroes, and Mexico City buskers are especially encouraged to apply.

Guest access

As a guest, you'll have full access to the common spaces on the property. Outdoor amenities include a private courtyard with a gazebo-covered outdoor dining table , BBQ, and hot tub. And a giant yard. So much space for activities!

Interaction with guests

Our community manager will be available help you check in, and will also be available for non-emergencies by phone and email between normal business hours (9:00 - 5:00 pm). For emergencies, please feel free to call 24/7.

Our stay at Christopher's place was wonderful. He himself was always available for any sort of help. The house was large and had a well equipped and stocked kitchen and laundry facility. It actually exceeded our expectations. Moreover we had a wonderful bunch of housemates from different parts of the world and it was a nice experience to interact. The location worked for us because it was an easy commute to Stanford University by public transport. I definitely recommend this place for airbnbers.

This place is great if you're looking for a place to crash. The room I stayed in had everything and I needed. The only thing that was not the best is having to share the bathroom with more people than I was planning. Other than that the house is great, just be aware that the neighborhood the house is in is not the best. I however as a male college student never had any problems nor did the female college students that were there with me at the time.

Great place!

Chris is a pretty cool guy. Really communicative, too. Location is less than a 10 minute drive to Menlo Park.

Raised a “Mormon hippie” in rural Idaho, I have a voracious appetite for learning. Few things give me so great a pleasure as a good book. My passions include life extension, agorism, social system design, entrepreneurship, and self-improvement. I especially enjoy a conversation with friends over a nice steak (medium rare) and a glass of wine. I look forward to meeting you!
