The space

Go back in time in this impressive stone mansion that embodies the history, the french country charm, and the special atmosphere that is Normandy. Located in a small village behind a stone wall for complete privacy, this former presbytère from the late 1700s has been fully restored with care for historical detail as well as modern comforts.

The first floor features a generous living room centered on the working fireplace, original Normandy tile floors and period furniture culled from area antiques shops. Next to this is a separate entertainment center, with television, DVD player, Bluetooth stereo, and comfortable sofas. The dining room looks just as its original inhabitants would have known it, with its floor to ceiling hearth and rough-hewn table that easily seats 8 for dinner. The kitchen is full of charming details, as well as a dishwasher and microwave, and is fully stocked with enough crockery, utensils, pots and pans to satisfy any cook’s ambition. All of the downstairs rooms have doors opening onto the lush, carefully tended gardens surrounding the house. There is also a full bath with shower on the first floor.

The place is in one word 'fabulous'. Everything needed is there. Emile has done a great job in making the rooms comfortable with small, enjoyable details like fresh flowers.

My favorite travel destination is France. My favorite city is Paris and in the country side La Manche in Normandy is in my opinion the most adorable area to discover. In my free time I spent a lot of time on photographie, for this I can walk hours in nature. Sometimes you can fin…
