Spacious cottage on Georgian bay, 2 hours from Toronto. Lake view and direct access to shared sandy beach. Large deck, ping pong table, projector and film screen. Dishwasher, laundry, modern kitchen. Shallow water perfect for kids. Fire pit, gas bbq

The space

There is lots to do on rainy days. We have board games, a projector and LOTs of DVDS (including art house favorites and kids movies) a ping pong table and a mini foosball table, which can convert to air hockey and mini-billiards.

Interaction with guests

Call or text Ryan at (PHONE NUMBER HIDDEN) if you have any questions.

Other things to note

We have a stand-up paddle board, canoe, and kayak, which may be used if guests sign a liability waiver.

Hook the top of the screen to the slot on the top of the projector stand. (If you are short, you will probably need to stand on a chair to do this; please be careful.)
Take hold of the handle with red button, press the button, and lower the screen.
Take the projector and put it on a chair. Line up the projector and the screen (we usually put the projector on a chair next to the couch, and we put the screen against the sliding door.)
Turn on the projector. To adjust the projector, turn the pegs at the front of the projector, or move the chair backwards or forwards.

WELCOME TO 17 Nottawasaga Court
1)Garbage is collected early Monday morning (even on holidays!). Please put the garbage in the large can by the road and separate recycling into the two bins, and place them next to the garbage container. There are raccoons so secure anything with food.

2)Check-out. Please leave the cottage as you found it (please wash and put away dishes). Please strip any beds that you used (or just leave them unmade). The cleaner will come to wash the sheets and towels and remake the beds.

3)We have a septic system so PLEASE DO NOT PUT ANYTHING OTHER THAN SMALL AMOUNTS OF TOILET PAPER in the toilets. Please take short showers and use the dishwasher only when it is full. This puts less strain on the septic system.

4)The laundry is for washing sheets and towels before guests arrive. Please do not use it (exception: if you are a family staying for a week and need to use it once, that is OK. Please note that the washer in the stacked washer dryer does not work. We use the separate washer and then the stacked dryer).

5)We recommend bringing water shoes or sandals. After about 10 feet it gets rocky and stays shallow for a long time (it does get above your head, you just have to go out far!)

6)We have no TV or internet but there is a screen and projector in the grey cabinet and it plays DVDs (you can also connect a computer). WE have lots of DVDS, some classic independent films and a few action and family films. See below for instructions on using the screen and projector.

7)The mini foosball table can convert to airhockey and mini-pool and the other parts are under the basement stairs.

8)Tap water is safe to drink.

9)There is a central vacuum system. The main part is located in the cabinet in the laundry room and there is a circular outlet in most rooms to plug it in. It works very well for vacuuming the sand.

10)WARNING: There is some poison oak in the wooded area on the periphery of the property. Please warn kids not to walk through the brush and avoid touching three leaf plants (in 3 years at the cottage our kids haven’t gotten poison oak, but be careful).

Emergencies or questions. Contact Ryan at (PHONE NUMBER HIDDEN).
Please, no parties. It is a quiet area with families

The cottage is very clean and well maintain. Great retro vibe. We really enjoyed being able to walk right over the sand dune and onto the beach. Ryan was wonderfully attentive and communicative. I highly recommend this cottage.

This is an ideal cottage for families. The sand dune beach access and shallow waters provided hours of fun for us all. For those who enjoy being out on the water there are lots of options: canoe, kayaks and paddleboard. The cottage was fully stocked and spacious and has a rustic feel. The projector system, extensive library of books and comics, board games, Foose ball and table tennis guaranteed that we were never bored. We all had a blast and would recommend it to anyone.

We really enjoyed our stay at Ryan's cottage. The beach was lovely, and the water was shallow -- perfect for a small child to splash around. The cottage was furnished really nicely, and the projector was fun for movies in the evening. Best of all were the incredible sunset views!

We just got back from Ryan's cottage and had a fantastic week. The cottage had all the amenities of home and has a beautiful view of the Bay! The private beach is a very short walk from the cottage. A great family spot for sure! We will definitely consider booking again in the future!
