NEWLY RENOVATED, this instaGLAM cozy apartment is perched HILLtop overlooking a GOLF COURSE. Featuring a wrap-around balcony and a private enclosed garden, it also comes with guaranteed parking. Ideal for digital nomad couples to call home if making Baguio their base. Young families and the elderlies love week-ending here too, and though the space is more than generous for a larger group of up to 6 people, current protocols dictate only individuals of the same household may share accommodation.

The space
W4 in 5 areas: Great Room, Bedroom, Bathroom, Balcony and Garden.

The GREAT ROOM is an open concept parlor, dining and kitchen featuring two very generous windows allowing natural light to flood the room and invites the view in if the curtains are tied back. The apartment is located in the far corner of the property and being on the top of hill privacy is not an issue even when the drapes are tied.

The parlor is a contemporary granny-chic design with distressed upcycled antique furnishing and dressings. Anchored by an installation that aims to recreate the feelings of a fireplace, this room is perfect for conversations, personal reading or journaling or playing the board games you brought.

The dining has a high table and stool design since we imagined this area not only for eating but most importantly, an amazing place to work. One may be seated on the solid mahogany or our preferred method standing and overlooking the mountain beyond while attempting to work. Speaking of dining, the apartment comes with table settings for all 6 and a few extra for the buffet. The table can also function as a buffet table if you should host a party thus allowing flexibility. For added surface space, you can always bring in the table from the al fresco dining, typically used as a bar in such functions.

A wall kitchen efficiently house the basics for storing and preparing everyday food: fridge, microwave, toaster oven, electric kettle, and induction are therefore present. This would not be the kitchen to prepare a multiple course haut-cuisine for 6, we would suggest catering for that, however is perfect for simple hearty everyday food. If you prefer the clean look, all appliances can be hidden beneath the counter as well wherein one may find the pot, pan, knives and chopping board. For the rare times one needs other equipment, ask us, maybe we have it. Though you will not find an espresso machine here, there is a French press and a tea pot too.

The bedroom has two double beds set side by side designed for individuals who wants to sleep next to each other but has different schedules. This allows them not to accidentally disturb one another while remaining in close proximity. The deep mattresses and high thread count linens invites rest or recreation. The head of the bed is the gallery where we invited local artists to display their works. They have free range in the installation. We do ask that you treat their work as if they were yours and any damage to them is akin to purchase. You may also ask us about the artist should you wish to see more of their portfolio. On the photo it is laid bare since the gallery will feature works on rotation. Be sure to be often since all works are for sale, most likely you will only see them once so if you love the work and you need a souvenir, why not take it with you.

At the foot of the bed is a nook where the television is housed and overlooks your private and exclusive garden. The 40 inch TV has WiFi capability and accepts all android pairing. The sofa in the nook turns into a single bed which is best for an overnight guest, however, it is not recommended for more than two consecutive nights if adult though children do not seem to mind.

Bathroom is our modern interpretation of a rain forest. It has, for example, both a rain and telephone shower. Hot and cold water with sufficient pressure makes for a gentle start or a calming way to end one’s day. To further embellish nature with-in, eucalyptus wood is used as drain steps bellow the shower while Nara was hand carved to house the toilet paper and bidet. Off-setting the wood is concrete finished counter and walls while the plants both absorb the moisture and further bridge the elements.

The balcony wraps around the eastern and southern walls. Perfect for watching either sunrise or sunset, it is furnished with a high table and stools perfect for coffee, lunch or if the weather permit, an alternative office since the WiFi does reach the balcony and the garden.

After all the lockdowns and multitude of quarantines, coming to Baguio means being outside. Therefore the private garden for your exclusive use only is a heaven not just for the plant-lovers but for all who wants to be within nature but appreciates comfort. Complete with upholstered bamboo chaises, the garden overlooking the mountains and golf course beyond is the last word on relaxation and where ones may be with their thoughts. A glass of wine, tea or coffee, the creative soul with-in will surely be awaken.

Services we provide: laundry (cost is PHP 75/kg, minimum PHP 500, max is 8kg/load)
Parking is 1 vehicle per reservation free, PHP 500/night/additional vehicle.
Catering for parties, do ask we can refer you to the various service providers and will depend on your budget.

Where you’ll be

Baguio, CAR, Philippines

We are at KM4 Asin Road. The location is 10/15 min to the city center (SM, Session Road, Burnham) providing a quiet area that exudes relaxation since we are away from the traffic noise and pollution of the city, but makes its amenities and services very accessible. Though this might mean you must take a taxi to the nearest Starbucks (Session Road), there are other amenities nearby.

A 15 min walk or a 5 min drive is the Pinewoods Golf Course and Clubhouse. They offer a 9 hole course which you may play up to 27 round, a spa, and a reasonably priced restaurant with great service to top your day. We often find ourselves there for dinner or cocktails.

2 KM from us or 7min drive is the famed BenCab Museum with its gorgeous exibits - it'd be a shame to skip. The museum is open Tuesdays to Sundays from 9-6 and does have a devine café.

Since the museum is downhill, why not walk to the museum and check out the woodcarving village and shops on your way. Test your bargaining skills as you dance with the shop keepers on the price of your musts haves. Great finds includes wooden sculptures, lamps, and chairs. Rest assured there are taxis at the museum to bring you and your finds back.

Our location really is best for those who want to capture a snapshot of living in Baguio City and away from the noise.

Thrill seeker? Ask us about the hidden multilayered falls and the zipline that runs between 2 mountain tops!

Hi. I'm Lex, a Canadian expat now living in Baguio after having travelled in Europe, Americas and South-East Asia. I fell in-love with Baguio 7 years ago because of its climate, small town feel but big city amenities, and importantly its proximity to beaches. I'm quite open and generous with stories so feel free to ask about the nooks of this city. During this pandemic and lockdown period, we not only became more garden oriented but also it deepened my affection for the natural aspects of décor and slowly my personal tastes shifted from rustic industrial which I still love towards wabi-sabi and certainly my listings will reflect such changes.

We will continue to add amenities to our listings and promise to strive to offer you a seamless stay certainly hoping that we could share our little slice of the mountain living that would not just rejuvenate you but that you'd want to come back to.
