Our rustic cottage is a wonderful place to relax, unplug and unwind in a quiet nature filled environment. The cottage boasts a screened in wrap around porch, private beach and private dock onto the lake. Reconnect with loved ones or nature in this picturesque natural setting.

The space

Our charming family cottage is as unique and special as the amazing panoramic views it provides. The wrap around porch is fully screened, with large windows to enhance the view from inside. The porch also invites guests to enjoy sleeping next to the lake with three single beds and a double bed. The porch is also where the main dinning space is. The heart of the cottage offers a living area space, with a queen sized raised bed and additional day bed. In the back are two bedrooms, one with a queen sized bed and the other with bunk beds, perfect for our younger guests! There is one bathroom complete with shower and tub, a kitchen with gas range, oven and refrigerator, clothes line for wet clothes and electricity.

Outside is a private sandy beach, that even the smallest guests will enjoy. The water is very shallow and tappers of slowly. There is a full sized volleyball court complete with volleyball net (or badminton if you prefer).

On the other side of the cottage are rocks for climbing or sitting, canoe, and a private dock. The dock may be used for swimming, fishing (with license). Then when night-time rolls around, enjoy the stellar views of our universe with the use of the fire pit to light your night.

The road surrounding the lake is quiet and excellent for family walks or bike rides.

This cottage offers the perfect space for families to reconnect, have fun and adults to unwind because there is no internet, TV or very good cell service (unless you go outside to the end of the dock) making nature, fun and yourself the full focal point of your visit!

There is a maximum of 4 cars parked allowed parked at the property at any one time.

Please no parties and observe quiet hours between 10 pm and 6 am. Though it seems secluded, there are neighbors that will be disturbed by excessive noise and parties.

Guest access

Guests will have access to the complete campus including cottage, gas barbecue grill, private beach, private dock, canoe and fire-pit

Interaction with guests

We will meet you to check you in and show you around, and see you off when you check out.

Other things to note

The running water at the cottage is pumped directly from the lake without filtration and is unadvised for drinking or cooking. Please be sure to bring your own bottled water for drinking and cooking. Use of the water for washing and bathing is fine.

Please bring your own bedding!! Whether it's sleeping bags, sheets, and pillows. There are only blankets available for extra warmth if needed.

Guests are asked to bring their own linens as none are provided. Sleeping bags or your own linens are suggested since we only have extra blankets and a few pillows.

Cottage: No smoking (inside the cottage - outside please depose of your butts appropriately NOT in the sand!)

No pets

Please respect the property and the nature surrounding.

Also we ask you practice basic cleanliness. Any and all excessive messiness including dirt, food, grime, stains etc will be billed accordingly for clean up!

Outside: NO destruction of surrounding property, no cutting of trees, limbs, no moving of rocks, no removal of sand, no fishing without a permit and if fishing NO LEAD LURES, they kill our loons, no feeding of ducks or loons **Note: Loons are a protected species, please keep your distance and respect them and their home.**

Water Craft: Use of canoe is included for guests. Canoe, paddles and life-jackets will be provided. Guests assume responsibility for canoe and care of canoe during their stay, ie: put it back and don't sink it.
Life-jackets are required and provided for the canoe. The NH law is ANYONE under the age of 13 MUST wear a life vest at all times on a water craft (that means the canoe).

Beach: The use of chairs and firepit are provided. Please return beach to condition you found it in. Please fill in all holes, smooth out sand castles, and dispose of trash. Please help children refrain from throwing beach sand into the lake, our beach is slowly eroding and every little bit helps. Feel free to play on big rock, at your own risk.

Fire-Pit: Please use common fire safety when lighting, using and tending to a fire. Please DO NOT harvest wood from the forest, wood for one fire will be provided for you, after that you can purchase more firewood at the grocery store or at the convenience store at the end of the lake. Please do not use wood found around the property. Also, DO NOT pour water into the fire-pit or put sand in it, it is made of metal and will rust and the sand makes a mess! Plan your fires so they will be close to out when you plan to go to bed, but don't worry too much since the fire is contained within a heavy, metal container. In the event of rain, guests are responsible for covering the fire-pit (with it's included tarp) again to prevent water damage and rust.

Trash: Please place trash bags recyclables inside appropriate barrels provided. Please dispose of your trash and recyclables at the town's transfer station, only if staying a full week, which will be explained upon arrival (or pay an additional disposal fee of $100 for a week).

Additionally, there is no washer or dryer on site, in town New London does have a laundry mat only 5 minutes away.

All boating, swimming, activities inside and out of the cottage are at your own risk!

This was a nice little rustic cabin right on the edge of a beautiful lake. The scenery was breathtaking. The best part is that although the cabin is in a very quiet area, it’s not too far away from the bussle of the town. The host was very nice and understanding when we called saying we were going to be late due traffic. The only real complaint I have is that we had a question for the host about checking out and we couldn’t seem to reach them after several calls throughout the day.

A quiet, rustic get away with your own private beach! Perfect downtime with with my daughter after a busy summer. Swimming, canoeing, badminton, card games, reading and no TV/electronics. Waking up with a view of the lake was heavenly. We'll be back!

Everything about this home was amazing. The water was warm when we visited, great views, and the house was awesome. We rented kayaks and had a lot of fun kayaking and paddling the canoe around the lake! The only downside (not really a downside) would be that the cell service is really difficult to get. We had a really great time and can't wait to come back in the future!

We (3 adults and 3 kids: 2, 4, 7 yrs old) stayed for one week in mid August 2017. The view from the dock is worth it on its own. No wifi is such a good thing (kids complained the first day but got used to it). The lake is beautiful, the water clear. We must have taken 15 canoe trips to Blueberry Island. Hiking trails are very close as well. Grocery stores and restaurants are a 10-15 minute drive away. We would certainly return for another vacation.

This cabin's best feature is its location, situated on a truly beautiful lake, with a private beach. We went to sleep at night and woke up mornings to serene quiet with occasional calls from the loons. The cabin itself is rustic and simple, but comfortable. The porch area opens out on to the lake. We enjoyed paddling the canoe and sitting around the the fire pit. A great place to hang out, relax and unwind.
