When you run a guesthouse you have the privilege to meet many different types of customers and their possible criticisms can give you the possibility to improve the quality of your service. In this specific case, we immediately perceived that the customer was really fussy and looking for the least defect and we had come in every way to solve the problems that have come up and meet the requests he made during the week (including the change of 2 deckchairs with a slightly ripped edge that the customer asked us to immediately replace, sending a picture to show the problem via (Hidden by Airbnb) ). Upon arrival on Saturday afternoon, due to a problem with the cleaning company who did not clean the house properly (according to us it can happen to everyone) the customer rightly noticed the problem and we immediately decided to send another company to clean up the house for a total of 8 hours of work at our complete expense. Furthermore, to apologize again for the inconvenience, we also offered the customer a dinner at the best Tuscan restaurant in the area that, together with his group of 7 people, he decided to enjoy the very last day ordering chianina cut and best wines. They certainly went to bed happy after the dinner we offered, so sorry he decided not to mention our gift in his long and detailed review. Everything the customer complains is understandable, trying to get down to his point of view and his expectations of a top luxury resort, however we are proud to offer our guests a country dwelling (celled "villa" only by convention) full of real life memories, which has seen generations of kids growing up and has the warmth and even defects of the typical farms of the Tuscan countryside. Each year at the beginning of summer season we replace or add services and/or equipments to better meet our customers' requests, especially those with large families, and we think the feedbacks received so far, all really positive, are proof of it. In particular stating our Scavolini brand kitchen, renovated less than 3 years ago, needs a complete restyling seems to be frankly exaggerated. In addition, insects and small scorpions that can be found sometimes in the cottage close to the pool are absolutely harmless and typical of the country in the central part of Italy during the whole year and above all when it is really hot during summer periods. Certainly, the client was looking for a super luxury resort with coordinated dining sets, but if he had carefully read our reviews he would have certainly understood that this was not what we could and wanted to offer our customers. Finally, we are really sorry for the springboard that we had to recently remove to comply with current regulations and we are on the contrary extremely surprised that the customer complained about the roadside noise even comparing it to a race circuit. No customer ever complained about anything like this, on the contrary customers (and again their feedbacks are a clear proof of it) are always sorry to leave the privacy and silence that our house can grant, but we realized also in this occasion that it's all relative and the customer is really hard to please, all future hosts should well keep this in mind. The client, being an host in turn, certainly can have many advices for us that we are really happy to welcome, but we would like to remind him that no house is perfect and that despite the maximum effort, something can always go wrong. According to us, the most important thing is being timely and accurate in solving problems that may occur and always trying to improve for the future.
