Camomile Cottage is a newly renovated property located just over 4.5 kilometres from Kenmare town.
It’s prime location places it on the Iveragh Peninsula, along the Ring of Kerry driving route, with the Kerry Way walking trail 350 metres away.
Kenmare is a 5 minute drive, Sneem is 15 minutes, and Killarney National Park is less than half an hour over the scenic Molls Gap.
The property itself is tucked away on a quiet country lane, surrounded by native woodland with a stream meandering by.

The space
Camomile Cottage is a newly renovated annex attached to the side of our own home. The property has a private entrance, with its own personal garden and parking area.
It’s a self-catering, open plan, bright and spacious, with large windows and glass doors leading out into your private garden area.
The layout is a studio apartment style, consisting of a comfortable king size bed; cosy tv area, modern kitchen and shower en suite.
The kitchen contains an electric oven, two ring induction hob, microwave, kettle, toaster and breakfast bar.
The living space consists of a tv (can access Netflix) and a sofa which can turn into a sofa bed.
This is the perfect place for a romantic getaway, or a solo trip. It ideally suits 2 people, but the sofa bed allows the option for an extra person or child if needed.
Our own properly is located right beside Camomile Cottage and we have small kids and pet dogs so you might occasionally see and hear us, we’re very friendly though!

Guests have their own parking space, as well as their own private entrance into the property.

Other things to note
As mentioned, we do have pets within our private property. Our three rescue dogs, Pip, Uisce & Ella, can be seen occasionally playing in the garden. It’s possible they might bark on your arrival, but settle down quickly. They would not access the rental property which has a fence surrounding it, but it’s important to mention they will be next door in our family home and due to this we unfortunately won’t be pet friendly in the b&b. We hope guests will take this into consideration when booking with us.

We’re a small busy family with two young children, there will be the usual comings and going’s from our house but this shouldn’t impact you as there’s a privacy fence between the two properties. You will occasionally be able to hear us when we have the kids in the garden so I recommend only booking if you are okay with occasionally hearing kids playing.

There also isn’t a washing machine/drier at the property, but there are a number of self service washing machines as well as a laundrette in Kenmare town.

Finally; my partner Colin owns the local kayaking company Emerald Outdoors, so discounts will be available to guests who wish to book trips out kayaking with him. Please get in touch for more info.

We are extremely lucky to run our BnB on the side of our main house. We’re situated in the middle of a small woods, on the edge of a stream, yet only a couple of minutes drive from Kenmare. We really love our experience hosting and hope our guests enjoy our beautiful & peaceful cottage.
