Island View is a newly refurbished, spacious, two storey apartment forming part of a Grade II listed Georgian building. With the bustling high street at the front and the extensive enclosed tranquil sun terrace with Solent views at the rear, it has a great location. The beautiful private courtyard parking area is secure with electric gates and the allocated parking space is clearly marked and is directly beside the staircase up to the apartment.

The space

Our cottage style apartment is fully equipped for a comfortable stay in this lovely Georgian town with its variety of shops, restaurants and sailing facilities. The apartment is centrally located in amongst all the activity and facilities, with public transport directly outside so a car is not necessary, yet at the rear is an expansive, quiet, enclosed roof terrace with sea views which is ideal for alfresco dining. You can see the full length of the Isle of Wight from Island View, and the view is constantly changing with the boats and ferries back and forth.

There is accommodation for 4 people with either two double beds or a double and two full sized singles as the queen sized bed unzips to make up as two singles. The apartment is very spacious and light and airy with floor to ceiling Georgian Windows. There is extra crockery and cutlery so you need not be washing dishes constantly, use the dishwasher and have a break! There is also outdoor dishes and glasses for use on the patio and a washing line and pegs for those beach towels!

Guest access

Guests are welcome to use the full property, there is a secure allocated parking space marked at the foot of the access staircase. The roof terrace is enclosed and the courtyard with parking is accessed through electric gates.

We are available via telephone and email for any queries during your stay. I am a short journey away and can visit the property if needed.

Other things to note

The apartment is right in the town centre, so it is very close to public transport and all the shops and restaurants. Life is going on right outside your window and this delightful town offers everything for a relaxed, easy holiday.

The apartment is in a gated community which offers seclusion and security, we hope our guests will enjoy their stay but also that they will enjoy and respect the peace and quiet that this offers. We regret that the apartment is not suitable for wheelchair users due to the staircase approach from the courtyard. Smoking is not allowed within the apartment and pets are not allowed. We very much appreciate guests leaving the apartment as they find it.

We stayed at Island View for a week and enjoyed our time here. The apartment is spacious, modern and clean. The kitchen is well equipped (including a Nespresso machine and milk foamer) and the beds are very comfortable. There's lots of storage, too. The bathroom is modern and has a nice view over to the Isle of Wight (as does one of the bedrooms). The location of the flat on the High Street is great. There are lots of shops (including supermarkets) and restaurants close by. We relied on public transport which was easy to get to. There's a bus stop just round the corner and the station is a 10-minute walk.

A lovely apartment in an amazingly central location - just off the high street with allocated parking - great! Brenda was quick and easy to communicate with if needed. The apartment provides all the necessities you need to stay - the kitchen, although small, is very well equipped with everything you need. The only negative to say is that the front of the flat is overlooking a very busy bus stop on the high street, this means the living room and front bedroom were both very noisy, the buses and lorries seemed to start by 6am every morning. (The back bedroom, although smaller, is quiet and does have the views, so if you only need to use one room - that may be the one to choose!) A great location to explore everything Lymington has to offer without getting in your car. For food - if you want to stay in there is a 'Cook' shop just up the road where you can buy home made ready meals - we were really impressed and much cheaper than eating out every night! A lovely touch from Brenda - the fresh milk and chocolate biscuits on arrival was really nice.

Your suggestions in your personal message about mentioning the extras we provide, unlimited dishwasher/washing machine tablets etc, and the washing line and pegs is really helpful. The high street is busy, like all high streets, but any noise etc is part of the bustle of being central. This needs to be balanced with the benefits i.e., being able to walk to everything and the proximity of public transport. Hope you will stay again sometime.

Brenda was easy to contact and a considerate host responsive. The apartment is finished to a high standard and the welcome tin of biscuits and wifi were appreciated. Overlooking the street and with view of the island from one bedroom bathroom and terrace, there was always something to look at. We enjoyed the market in Saturday and exploring the Salterns, the New Forest, the shops and restaurants! The gated environment and parking directly off Lymington High Street was a bonus. Recommended.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Brenda's flat. Her instructions were very details so we did not have any problem gaining entry to the flat. It's in a great location that allow you to explore the beaches of Bournemouth and Sandbank, as well as the New Forest National Park. The flat is in a quiet neighborhood and has every amenities we wanted for a short break
