The space

'Amazing Bush Accomodation' features 4 bedrooms. The master bedroom is located upstairs and has a queen-size bed, large WIR, ensuite, wall-mounted TV and DVD player. It opens onto a sensational balcony and roof-top garden area with an awesome outlook over the bush. The other 3 bedrooms are on the ground floor and all have built-in robes. One bedroom has a queen-sized bed, one has 2 bunk beds (sleeping up to 4), and the other bedroom had a tri-bunk (sleeps 3) with a single bed on top and a double below, and another single bed in the room as well. A large bathroom with shower and bath and separate toilet are centrally located to the ground floor bedrooms.

Doona's and doona covers, and pillows are provided but guests are required to provide their own linen in the form of sheets, pillowcases, and towels. If desired, these can be arranged through a linen service for an extra fee of $12 per person.

There is a central, open-plan kitchen, meals and lounge. The spacious kitchen is fully equipped with oven, cook top, microwave, dishwasher, toaster, kettle, a large fridge-freezer, along with cookware, utensils, crockery and cutlery at your disposal. There is a large dinning table with seating for 14 people.

The lounge area has comfortable couches and is equipped with games, a large flat screen TV and a DVD/Blu-ray player. A large selection of DVDs is provided. A bluetooth enabled stereo is provided so you can play you selection of music from any device you have with bluetooth or a USB port. The lounge opens onto a large decking area that has a BBQ and a delightful alfresco eating area.

From the decking you can use the firemans pole or stairs to access the climbing wall or trampoline. Once outside, you can explore the extensive bush vegetation on the property, with 1000's of indigenous plants and trees that are accessible along paths that lead to a picnic shelter and Steavenson's river.

A carport provides off-street under-cover parking for 2 cars.

8+ star energy rating resulting from impeccable environmental design features are an additional highlight that optimises the comfort for guests. The house was awarded the 2015 Master Builder Association of Victoria Regional North-East award for ‘best sustainable energy home’. The house is partially underground, with a roof garden. This helps to make it cooler in summer and warmer in winter. The house has 3 split heating and cooling systems, if needed. Numerous design features help to maintain a comfortable indoor temperature year-round.

Guest access

Guests will have use of the house and outdoor recreation area.

A separate self-contained 'multi-purpose room' available for an extra fee, typically $250 for a short stay.

Host not available onsite but usually readily contactable via mobile during 'reasonable hours' ((PHONE NUMBER HIDDEN)).

The premises, including all outside areas, are to be left in a satisfactory clean and tidy state. All garbage should and emptied into the outside rubbish and recycling bins in the carport, the BBQ cleaned and washing up done. In the event of excessive cleaning requirements, an extra cleaning fee will be deducted from the bond.
- Pets are not allowed.
- Smoking is NOT permitted inside.
- No bird seeds or other food to be fed to cockatoos.
- Parties and functions are strictly prohibited.

We've just returned from a wonderful weekend at Peter's house in Marysville. We stayed with two other families, with five kids in total who are five years and under, making good use of the trampoline, fireman's pole, and exploring the creek. It was an easy run up to Lake Mountain on Saturday for some snow and tobogganing, followed by drinks and nibbles on the deck late Saturday arvo while the sun streamed through the trees and the kids bounced on the trampoline (supervisable from the deck!). The layout of the house met our needs perfectly with the bedroom with 2 sets of bunks commandeered by the kids, and the adults each having a bedroom with enough space for a portacot. The kitchen was well equipped with cooking equipment for self catering. The surrounds are picturesque with an abundance of birdlife making for beautiful views through the large windows out of the open plan kitchen-living. Thanks Peter, we thoroughly enjoyed our weekend at your house!

This is a great holiday house for families. Very centrally located in Marysville, but so peaceful with the large block, backing on to the river, full of native tees and plants. The newly built sports & skate park 200 meters down the road was also popular with the kids. Equipped with everything you could need for a comfortable stay. Highly recommend.
