Formerly used as a forge, this charming traditional half-timbered house is perfect for a romantic getaway from the city stress. Take a break from your daily routine and enjoy the Norman countryside in a cozy dwelling by the fireplace.

The space

Lovely little cottage, perfect for a couple looking for a quiet Norman countryside escapade. Formerly used as a forge, this thatched half-timbered house will delight you for a relaxing week-end.

At the heart of a luxurious park well located near the Seine, the house yet small, is very well set and organized. Fully equipped open kitchen and dining room, a little bathroom, and finally a lovely bedroom for two visitors with a beautiful fireplace.

A little terrace in front of the cottage will allow you to enjoy a nice breakfast in the sun before going exploring the rich fauna and flora of the region.

Guest access

As part of Le Châlet domain, the cottage is set near Berville-sur-Mer and very close to Honfleur, Le Havre or Trouville.

Wonderful hikes and walks along the Seine are possible in the surroundings.

Anne's cottage is a lovely place on a big estate. The checkin was very easy. We met the owners only once at the front gate, and they were very kind and spoke good english. We had a huge garden to walk into and make use of. The cottage is exactly as depicted in the pictures. It has all the utilities you'd want and more: there's a coffee machine, a water boiler, a washingmachine! The shower is a bit small, but suffices its need. Altogether we had a nice time in Anne's place.

We found the location perfect for relaxing within the beautiful garden, and for enjoyable walks and cycle rides. The cottage is well positioned for short car journeys to beautiful Honfleur and Bayeux, and nearby Le Harve is worth a visit too. Anne's mother, Valentine, who lives in the main house, is a delightful lady and very welcoming.

Small cottage very close to Seine river. Very good location for visiting Normandie but car is a must. House is very tine but charming , rather for couple than for family. Big beautiful garden for your use were you can play badminton or rest. Anne is not living there but all questions and problems can be solved by her mother.

We had an amazing stay at the Forge. The area is beautiful and we cooked and ate all of our meals outside the cottage. Honfleur is 10k away and is a stunning place to visit. We will definitely be returning

The Forge is in a very quiet environment and when you want to have cozy and quiet vacation for a couple or with a friend this place is perfect. the landscape is beautiful and you can have a long walk through the land. also the small supermarket nearby is perfect to have breakfast. the forge itself is simple, clean and the equipment is good and gives you the possibility to cook for your own. With the fireplace, and the terrace the atmosphere is very nice. The contact with Anne was easy and uncomplicated. All in all we had a very nice stay!
