Ocean to mouth eating fresh calamari-fish-crab, kayak to an island, watch sunsets, moon rises, bonfire evenings at waterfront restaurant/lounge.

Lazy hammock days, rustic luxurious peaceful living, 6 star meals, not far from Kendwa/Nungwi.

We live a simple life! This is not a luxury hotel, but a place to unwind and enjoy good company and nature.

Welcome all travelers, families and couples.
Breakfast is included.

The space
Our ocean front bungalow consists of one bedroom with a queen bed, and one room with one queen, and one single bed. There is a bathroom with shower.

The bungalow has been fully renovated, with complete reconstruction of the bathroom including fitting of hot water in September 2024!

The patio has seating where you can relax in the shade, watch the ocean and magical sunsets every night. Starry nights are abundant!

There is also a private area with sunbeds for you to enjoy before getting in the ocean.

Breakfast is included and rooms are cleaned daily.

Kidoti Wild Garden consists of this bungalow, two ocean front room and three garden rooms.

We are on the north west coast of Unguja island of Zanzibar.

We have a unique relationship with the village of Kidoti which is 15 minute walk up the hill, many villagers pass by to get to the ocean where they harvest crab, mussels, seaweed. As well a fisherman’s local port is just down from us making it easy to get great fresh fish and sometimes lobster.

Guest access
Guest have access to all the property. Feel free to chill in our swinging beds and hammocks. Enjoy a walk in the gardens, we have fruit trees and a vegetable garden.
In the restaurant you will find books and card games.
We have kayaks that you are welcome to use.

You can also hike up to the hill and catch a dala dala to Kendwa or Nungwi. Or you can walk along the coast when the tide is out. If you would like to see local farmers you can also wander down the road and check out daily village life. The ocean and the coast are our front yard so when the tide is out you have lots of space to explore as well!

Other things to note
* There is only enough hot water for a quick shower.
* We have friendly dogs and cats that live on our property.
* Swimming and kayaking is possible only when the tide is in, when the tide is out you can walk on the ocean floor for hours!
* We have a coral beach (not a sandy beach), and it can be sharp so we recommend wearing water shoes.
* Our staff can help with washing your clothes for an extra fee.

Speaks English and Swahili
Hey, I'm Khamis, but everyone knows me as -Mwamba-. I manage Kidoti Wild Garden guest house and restaurant and I'm a Swahili chef and tour operator with eco sustainable living focus. I love gardening, and have spent many years creating a wild garden i Kidoti with flowers, spices and vegetables - even attracting rare birds. If you are interested, I will happily show you around. Karibu!
