The Eco Lodge is true beauty! The care Byron has put into making it authentic and unique is evident. My husband I enjoyed it as a getaway from the city to see the autumn leaves. We were also treated to a tour of Byron's farm and told about the history of the area. Be sure to ask him about dinner reservations and sightseeing recommendations for the area. He was a great help!

Byron and Kaori’s Yokomura Eco Lodge is a wonderful secluded period building an hour away from Tokyo that takes you into a real rural setting. We were surprised by the stylish but eco renovation of the building as well as the size of the property( our family of 9 were more than comfortable). Byron and Kaori welcomed us and arranged our dinner at a nearby restaurant which was an absolute treat. They also informed us about an onsen that was a few minutes drive from the property which was nice after a long day of traveling. I would thoroughly recommend Yokomura if you’re traveling to Tokyo and have a few days to venture out to get a taste of rural Japan.

Staying at the Eco-Lodge was perfect for a weekend getaway. We were able to visit Byron's farm, which had a magnificent views. The wall of windows was perfect to view the morning mist in the mountains with a cup of coffee.
