Are you passionate about hosting and interested in bringing hosts together in your city? Representing Host Clubs all around the globe, selected Community Leaders act as an indispensable part of the Airbnb community by elevating the host voice in the decision-making process at Airbnb and building partnerships through local advocacy.

“I volunteered to be a Community Leader because it personally helps me grow and expand my life,” says Robbin, Leader of the Colorado Springs Host Club. “I’m also passionate about hosting and want to collaborate ideas to create a better future—which encompasses a shared vision within my community.”

Making an impact

From group discussions on short-term rental regulations to recommending local services, Host Club members help one another with challenges large and small. “Here we are, essentially competitors in a tough rental market right now, and we are all pitching in to help someone who needs it. That's community,” explains Barb, a Leader in Nashville. Community Leaders provide honest and insightful feedback from their local groups, allowing them to have a hand in shaping Airbnb policy and product. They also bring local hosts together in other impactful ways:

  • Leading a local Facebook group: With support from Airbnb, Leaders moderate and grow a Facebook group for local hosts in their area. This is a space to give updates, share insights, and create conversation within your Host Club.
Fostering connection through meetups: Leaders bring local hosts together by hosting monthly virtual meetups. Using provided toolkits and resources from Airbnb, hosts learn from each other's best practices and share local knowledge.
  • Amplifying the local host voice: Leaders represent their community by sharing stories, ideas, and feedback with the Airbnb community team. Build local partnerships to impact local tourism and create equitable change in your community.
I left a well-paying corporate job to create a business around vacation rentals, so it feels great to be able to help others also pursue their dreams.
