“Awesome stay! We arrived late due to some issues on our end and they were able to help us get settled and checked in despite the time. Everyone who was at the front desk was always more than willing to answer any questions we had and help us book tours/shuttle. They had helpful local tips and we're great company to sit and chat with over some tea!”
Welcome to our best flat. It's located 2 min. from Taksim Square on a quiet street in Cihangir. It's a 3 min. walk from the metro station and everything you need is very nearby. You will feel very comfortable here. Our place is 70sqm with terrace.
“We stayed in Berna's apartment for about a week and a half and I can say this is the best Airbnb I've ever stayed in. The apartment is on the top floor which means no upstairs neighbors being noisy when you're trying to sleep. The bed is very comfortable and the bedroom faces the back of the building which is quiet. There is even a standing fan in the bedroom in case you get warm at night. The bedroom and living room each have a cute little balcony. The bathroom is also very nice: plenty of hot water that does not run out while showering. I liked this shower even more than my home shower! The washer/dryer is of excellent quality and much faster than most other European washers I've used. There is also a drying rack if you don't want to use the dryer for your clothes. A hairdryer and plenty of shampoo are also provided. We did not use the kitchen at all but it seemed to have everything you should need for cooking. Berna left water for us in the fridge to get us started which was very thoughtful (please do not drink the tap water in Turkey. Plenty of places nearby to purchase more drinking water for extremely cheap prices). The living room couch is incredibly comfortable and there is satellite TV with many channels for when you want to relax. Check-in and check-out were both very easy and stress free. The location is optimal. You are close to Taksim square so you can grab the M2 subway and a ton of buses to get to all kinds of stuff. The apartment is also walkable to the T1 tram and even more buses in that area which goes to many tourist attractions in Sultanahmet, Fatih, and beyond. Karaköy and Galata areas are also walkable from here with heaps of good restaurants. The street the apartment is on has numerous grocery and fruit shops as well as a few restaurants (I highly recommend eating at Altın Şiş a few doors down), and beyond that there are TONS of restaurants in close walking proximity. Overall this is a top notch apartment and an incredible value. Next time I come to Turkey if this apartment is available I will absolutely stay again.”
The apartment is located in an eclectic cultural and colourful neighbourhood surrounded by hip cafes, art galleries, unique shops and always smiling people. Just a stone's throw away from almost all sights and public transportations.
“I could not have asked for a more soothing and life-filled temporary home during part of the covid crisis. Serkan’s smile (husband of Yasemin) greeting me on arrival, throwing the suitcase over his shoulder (30kg, too!) and his kind sister Tülin, who was getting the place in order, made me feel like an awaited family guest. I walked in and felt immediately able to exhale and relax. The place itself was exactly as pictured, remarkably maintained with sweet and thoughtful design everywhere your eyes fell. Serkan told me some stories of its development, and his eyes shined as he did - truly art and time and love went into making this space. The ceilings were higher than pictured, the rooms brighter, with direct sunlight streaming in from about noon til sunset - french doors/balcony opens wide, you can even sunbathe (which I did, locked down as I was). The kitchen is simple, but I managed to cook and enjoyed doing so every day. Serkan surprised me with little pots of spices from his restaurant, kept me in coffee, and was right around the corner if anything was needed. Yasemin was always just a message away. Outside, birds chirp, people practice musical instruments, and gentlemen and old women gather to chit-chat at the taxi stand below. 4-5 fruit and bread and pastry and basic grocery sellers are within a couple blocks, and Istiqlal and loads of little alleys with open stores, even during corona, are a 2-5 minute walk away. Soooo many cafes and shops and restaurants around (closed right now) which others, in less locked-down times, have commented on in their reviews. Karakoy and its offerings also about half a kilometer away - including the fish market for those cooking at home. And - critically - the internet was strong and consistent. If Yasemin and Serkan and Tülin allow, I would love for this to be my home away from home every time I come to Istanbul! It’s a place of peace, beauty, function, and location, holding and sharing the energy of its kind, genuine hosts.”
