Why are the Airbnb Experiences I’m hosting cancelled?
On 11 March 2020, the World Health Organization (WHO) declared the outbreak of COVID-19 to be a global pandemic. Based on the guidance of governments and public health experts regarding social distancing, Airbnb Experiences were paused on 18 March 2020, and the pause will continue until at least 3 April 2020 in order to protect the health and safety of our community.
We believe that taking this action in the short term is necessary to do our part to slow the spread of the virus, and in the long term to preserve experiences as a trusted way to connect with others throughout the world.
What happens to reservations
If you had a reservation between 18 March and 3 April 2020, the reservation has been automatically cancelled. Your guests will receive or have received a full refund, including a refund of all Airbnb service fees. Airbnb won’t keep any fees associated with the reservation.
Booking experiences after 3 April
Guests can book any available instance on your calendar after 3 April 2020. Airbnb will continue to monitor the situation globally, and will update our community if the situation changes.
