A newly refurbished 18th century town house split into two apartments. The Ground floor apartment was refurbished in a modern vintage style and is located in small ally within the village core, a short walk from all amenities including bakery, wine bar, and grocer. Hal-Gharghur is a quaint and traditional Maltese village on the outskirts of the busy city and bordering valley and sea. You can walk directly to the old Victoria Lines or easily catch a bus to the fortified city of Valletta.
“The accommodation is located in an alley in Ghargur, a small village in the hinterland of Malta, however served by two bus lines that take you to Valletta. The house may initially seem a bit isolated but in reality it is in a quiet area, which guarantees silence and relaxation to your stay. Check in and check out are done independently, but Carla and Sebastian respond quickly to your every message or request. The house is clean and tidy, the apartment is large, suitable for comfortably hosting 4 close friends or a family (since there is only one bathroom to share). The bed in the bedroom is very comfortable. In winter the house is well heated by a pellet stove programmed by the host with a timer and by a heat pump (air conditioner) in the bedroom. The only small drawback is the lack of blackout curtains, so you wake up in the morning with the light, but this is a fairly common thing outside Italy. I thank the hosts and will definitely return to this house on my next stay in Malta and recommend it to anyone who wants to experience this beautiful island, away from the chaos.”
Fancy spending a unique few days or even weeks in a picturesque 400-year-old farmhouse situated in the peaceful village core of quaint Gharghur? Would you like to travel back in time for a romantic break, or to get away from today's rushed life? This is now possible with the careful restoration of a room that in the past served as the farmer's main living area. To make it even more enticing, it comes with a/c and also ample free parking space in the centuries-old streets that surround the area.
“WE had an absolute wonderful stay at Analisas and Ians beautifully restored farmhouse in the middle of a very nice Village. We arrived very late in the evening and even though IT was late, Ian showed US around in the village and gave us a lot ofTipps and information. And the next days, they helped us such a lot with daily Infos and tipps for what to do and See. You dont need a guidebook as their guests, be sure. The whole Family including Kids and a very sweet cat is very warm and welcoming and one feel immediately Welcome and AS part of the Family. The House and the guest room (which has a seperate entrance) is super romantic and the perfect place from where to explore the wonderful Island of Malta. The room is full of nice details and very cosily furnished and equipped. IT IS very Central and everything is easy to Reach, especially with a rental car. WE Had the perfect stay there and would recommend everyone to stay at Ana's and Ian's place. Thanks for everything!”
A one level house situated in San Gwann - a residential suburb with a commercial centre in the East of Malta. One can easily travel to popular chapels across town by foot and to the nearest beaches, shopping malls and tourist attractions found in St. Julian’s, Sliema and Birkikara. The entire place can host 4 persons in all and consists of 2 bedrooms (one with a double bed and another with 2 single bed which can be joined together as well).
“Paul has been exceptionally friendly and helpful. He made us feel at home right from the start. Checking in was easy. Finding the place was easy enough especially with Paul’s email where he listed every single detail. The house was bigger than we expected and it is a typical 80s style house. It makes you feel at home. Quiet enough for a good sleep, be it during the day or night. Nice kitchen and dining room if cooking and staying in is your thing. And on top of everything it’s very central, reaching both north or south of Malta in anything between 30 and 40 minutes by car. The place was exceptionally clean, which helped make us feel more at home. The house is very very well maintained. Paul had just freshly painted some of the rooms and was about to refurbish the whole bathroom...even though nothing is wrong with it! It’s not very usual to come across someone who takes so much care of a place. Paul, thank you for this place. The stay was better than we expected and we will definitely consider staying again!”
