This walking tour takes you through the beautiful forest that leads to the foot of Mt. Tanigawa, where you can see the rock face of Ichinokurazawa, which boasts an overwhelming scale, up close. You will take a leisurely walk with a mountain guide who was born and raised in Minakami, learning about the forest's plants, the changing nature of the seasons, the history of Mt. Tanigawa, and its connection to the region. The course is mainly on paved roads that are easy to walk on, and the round trip to Ichinokurazawa is about 7 km. No special mountaineering skills are required, and it is recommended for those who want to enjoy the magnificent mountain scenery and time in the forest at a leisurely pace.
