What you'll do

We will be sailing in the morning and then spectating the SailGP races in the afternoon.

After a quick safety briefing, we leave the mooring, getting the sails up as soon as we can. We head south, giving guests a chance to try the helm and harness the power of the wind. At Calshot, we will cross to Cowes on the Isle of Wight, where we will be able to enjoy the attractions of the race village. After lunch at one of the many pubs or at the stalls, we'll get back on board and head over to the viewing area, ready for the races to start.

We'll be spectating meters from the action, watching the F50 catamarans battling it out at over 50 knots. These are the ultimate sailors, the best in the world and there is a lot at stake, so it should be extremely exciting racing. After the racing is over, we'll have a leisurely sail back to Town Quay in Southampton.

After many years of sailing everything from tiny dinghy's to large yachts, in New Zealand, South Africa and extensively around the English Channel, I am delighted to welcome guests on board my beautiful yacht 'Sailing Grace'. I'm passionate about sharing my love of life on the water, and in-depth knowledge. Guests quickly get involved as I explain the principles and little tricks to make it easier, safer and more fun. I love sharing the exciting stories of wrecks & follies, ancient harbours and recent intrigues as we visit some of the hidden anchorages and landings in the area. Many guests have been infected by my enthusiasm for sailing after coming on board; some have even set off on adventures much further afield because of their experience on board 'Sailing Grace'.
