Dave and Jenny are experienced Speyside trail runners who founded RunSpeyside to offer guided trail runs and events in the Moray and Speyside area. We share a passion for the outdoors and running. We love exploring – whether it’s finding new ways up hills, taking interesting looking single tracks through the woods or linking together runs to create expeditions. Our combined knowledge of the hills and trails of Speyside lead to a desire to spread our secrets, and show other people, especially visitors, the sights, sounds, tastes and smells of our home stomping grounds. Our tours are small and personal and our ethos is to show you the trails and places of Speyside we would like to find if we were visiting Speyside.

Where you'll be

Starting at the Alice Littler Park and passing the Aberlour distillery the route ventures into the countryside behind the village. The trail will take us to the Glenallachie distillery, past the Walkers Shortbread factory to a superb viewpoint overlooking the River Spey before returning to the Penny Bridge in Aberlour.

David was an excellent guide and running buddy. The trail had a good variety in terrain and spectacular views throughout. A local, David was very knowledgeable about the different distilleries we passed. He’d thoughtfully prepared a wee bit of Walker’s shortbread to enjoy as we passed the Walker’s property as well as post run drinks and snacks. All in all I had a great time and would highly recommend to any trail runners.
