In front of the CU convenience store at the Kensinton resort. Or pick you up from Hwagae terminal.

Procedure> Combination of tea tasting and field trekking

1) We move to the 'First' historic green tea plantation grown in Korea, just by the Kensington resort. I will give you the breif explanation of the green tea history and tea culture in Korea. (20min)

2) Go hiking along the green tea plantation including UNESCO world's agricultural heritage on the hills. Hike up to the highest view point and enjoy the panoramic view of the whole Hwagae valley and the ridges of Mt.Jiri. (1hr)

3) Visit local tea maker's houses by the plantation and have Tea Tasting. (1 hr)

4) Go for other tea plantation sites or visit more tea houses if time is allowed.

5) Ride back to the Hwagae terminal and finish the trip.
Other things to note
Tea tasting costs are included.
You can buy teas from the maker directly on spot if you like.- These makers are highly recommended regarding taste and price.
This tour is very exceptional.
I try to avoid the commercial tea centers by the road where you can easily access without a guide

Hello! I am a nature lover and fell in love with mt.Jiri ever since I first visited there. I have moved down to the area 9 years ago and can't possibly leave now. Am a local expert who knows best parts of this area. I used to run a guesthouse hosting many foreign guests before and showed them local attractions which only locals know about.
Mt.Jiri and Hadong is such a beautiful place beholding rich cultural and natural heritages. Yet a lot of foreigners can't discover them properly because of the language barrier and lack of public transportation. So I decided to operate guided trips to show the hidden yet the best parts of the region. I am fluent in English and easy going. (Probably the only one who can give English service within 30 km :-)) I can recommend you the best things to do around. Please come join. Best is yet to come.
