My name is Krista and I am your local private guide! I was born and raised here so these National Parks were like my childhood playground. I have a degree in Environmental Studies and have been a professional guide for over four years, in every season and for every age group and ability level. I am obsessed with Sierra Nevada natural history; from the geologic and hydrologic processes that raised these mountains to the human histories of those who walked these trails before us to the fascinating plants and animals and modern science that we are still learning about today. Safety is a priority; each adventure includes a short safety brief, I always carry a first-aid kit and I am certified in Wilderness First-Aid. See you soon!

Our hike with Krista was awesome! She was fun and enthusiastic about showing us ‘stories’ the forest had to tell. We learned so much and she had great recommendations for the rest of our trip. It made our other days of hiking even more enjoyable. Would highly recommend her to all who visit!

The tour is also customizable and tailored to suit the groups' needs! We'd definitely recommend booking with Krista to get the most out of your trek through the forest.

Adventure of a lifetime! Sequoia has been on my list for several years, and Krista made it better than I could have hoped. She is extremely knowledgeable, and a truly delightful human being. I haven't had this much fun in the woods since I was 8 years old. Highly Recommended.

Krista introduced me to the language of the forest and so much more. She was extremely knowledgable, kind, sensitive to my needs, easy to communicate with, fun, inspiring, and generous. I love the sequoias and have hiked on my own but always with a feeling of partial blindness. Krista helped to lift that veil and the rest of my solo time in the forest was far richer after our tour. I now have a greater sensitivity to the sights, sounds and smells. What was foreign (and sometimes a little scary) is now familiar and my relationship with the forest has deepened. There's still so much to learn, but this was a great introduction with a deeply passionate and sensitive guide whose love for that sacred land is heartening. I also want to say that Krista was available to answer my questions about the tour before I purchased the package. Our communication was very helpful and greatly appreciated. Thank you, Krista!
