I grew up in Stanley, a quaint fishing village that has blossomed into a bustling mini town with clothing shops, restaurants and much more. Since the young age of 6, I started learning Chinese painting and Chinese calligraphy and continued all the way until University. At University in California, I received a BA of Fine Arts with honors concentrating on painting- combining my Chinese brush painting technique with Western imagery. Since then, I have lived in New York, Paris, Oxford to pursue my passion and now I have finally returned home. I have exhibited in various places in HK and I have also sold my Chinese fans at Asia Society HK.

Where you'll be

We will sit down on the rocks, by the pier, or a secret little spot by the beach to paint. Then we will walk through the clothing market and discover interesting shops. Finally, we will go sample an authentic local Chinese diner (vegetarian option available).

I entirely enjoyed the time with Jen! We went to a little place, off track, in front of an empty little beach. There we started the artistic part of the experience. Loved it! We then went shopping in Stanley little market. Incredibly low prices... And finally we went for lunch in a real local restaurant also off track... Exactly as described and i enjoyed each part of it. No need to be artist to do the experience. You'll go home with a unique souvenir. This was a nice way for me to start discovering HongKong. Try it, you'll love it.

Jen is the perfect host i could have wished for for my first Airbnb experience. She was so warm and welcoming, and modified her plan for all of my special requests, and i had quite a few. Really grateful to her for the amazing experience, for showing me around the place she cares about so deeply, and for our conversations over lunch that made it all the more memorable. Loved the place, loved the artwork i got to take home, but most of all, loved hanging out with her like an old friend.
