What you'll do

Taste. Indulge. Explore- Experience Geneva’s award winning chocolate creations and culture in a delightful 3 h walking tour. We will show you 5 of the city’s best artisan chocolateries from traditional to modern, and you’ll experience 11 chocolate creations in all shapes and forms: from chocolate pralines, to truffles, ganaches, chocolate pearls, cakes and drinking chocolate. The unique Geneva chocolate marmite breaking tradition… is also part of the tour.

During the tour you will learn the secrets around more than 2000 years of “food of the Gods” history, including Geneva and Swiss chocolate history as well as participate in a short workshop on chocolate tasting. We will also visit the charming Old town with its cobbled stone streets, old churches, beautiful squares, stroll around the shores of the Geneva lake and river Rhone, take a boat ride from left bank to the right bank. All this while sharing with you anecdotes and less known stories and sights of our beloved city that not even the locals know about.

Hello,

My name is Antonia and I am passionate about chocolate and my city Geneva. I love to travel and believe food is the best way to explore a destination. And there is no food that represents better Geneva then.. of course its delicious chocolate :)
I have been organising this tour for more than 2 years. The people in the Tourism Office of Geneva tell me "you are a great representative of our city". The chocolatiers and patissiers we will explore together are selected not just for the amazing quality of their products-many of them awarded at international level- but also for their owners passion for what they are doing.

I love history, art, culture, but most of all I love to tell stories and anecdotes. So you will learn about Geneva in an fun and entertaining way while of course you will be tasting the most delicious chocolate

My father and I had such a good time on this chocolate tour and our host Nadia was amazing! So kind and sweet and took us all over the city of Geneva and into old town. We got to participate in a traditional Geneva tradition of breaking the chocolate cauldron, learned about the history of Swiss chocolate, and a whole lot of interesting history of Geneva that we wouldn’t have known otherwise. It was a very cool experience for our last day in Europe!
