What you'll do

Under the guidance of Japanese award-winning artists, create your original ceramic plate by shaping a clay slab on which you can freely engrave patterns and press various molds to express your creativity.

Arrive at "Atelier Me-Mic Works" in Kawaguchi City, just next to Tokyo.
Kawaguchi is famous for Japanese traditional casting factories area, and now there are so many artists and craftsman are working at our studios.

Meet me and I will explain a brief description of the process. Then, I will show you demonstration, so you can learn the techniques.

Once you come up with design ideas, try them out on on the actual clay.
And plus, I will tell you bout the firing and glazing process.

Then, have a fun chat with me while enjoying some Japanese tea and snacks before the end of the session.

It was our second to the last day in Tokyo today and I'm glad we spent it making ceramic cups. It was a wonderful, intimate experience. It was our first time doing this and it is truly memorable. We hope to do more activities like this when we come back to Japan. PS: Thank you for the photos!!
