What you'll do

We pick you up at your hotel or the meeting point at 9 am with an accessible minivan using a lift or a ramp. First stop after ca 1 hour drive is the water temple Taman Ayun with its high 'Meru' towers, part of Balinese hinduism. A wheelchair accessible restroom is available here. After exploring the park, we drive through a landscape of rice fields and climb into the mountains with dense tropical forests and monkeys crossing the road or sitting at the edge of the forest (1 hour). We reach Ulun Danu Beratan Temple, a sprawling park in a mountain valley with beautiful temple buildings and its main attraction, a temple that 'floats' on a crater lake. You will love walking around in the cool climate and watching the Balinese as they prepare for their numerous prayer ceremonies. Lunch is available in a small restaurant within the premises. We continue to a lookout point, which is about 20 minutes higher in the mountains and from where you can enjoy the spectacular view over two twin crater lakes. The return trip to Denpasar takes you through impressive mountain forests with deep valleys and tall rainforest trees. Our last stop is the beach of Batubulan. We bring a beach wheelchair and you can enjoy the famous sunset in Bali directly from the beach or from a café right on the beach. We return to Denpasar and arrive around 19 clock.

I'm Maureen, guide and coordinator at AccessibleIndonesia. Together with my team I organise this amazing day tour for you in an accessible way. Bali has many temples and many beautiful landscapes, but not all can be easily discovered with a wheelchair or when you are a slow walker. We have picked the best places for you and combined them in a day tour! I myself or my colleague will be with you to assist and ensure that only the best accessible routes are taken. We have agreements with many sightseeing spots who let us use side-entrances without stairs for our guests with disabilities.
