Nico has a lifetime of hiking, travelling experience and knows the Japanese forests very well. Though out the tour Nico demonstrated a deep understanding not only of the temples and shrines but the surrounding nature. He knew about many different plant species and their respective flowering seasons. For me the best part of the tour was when Nico spontaneous finds a new place for a swim whilst walking along the river, on a hot had it was perfect.
