What you'll do

I’ll give you the inside scoop on the historical information of all of Galveston’s best ghost stories. The ghost tour guides take you on a grand expedition throughout Downtown Galveston and beyond while you soak in the sights and sounds of our eerie island. Even the most seasoned ghost hunter will be delighted. I’ll offer a unique, rich history on all that Galveston island is and was and why this special place is considered the most haunted city in the United States. Filled with horror, Galveston’s ghost history is unmatched with episodes of murder, suicide, cannibalism, pirates, ghosts and visions that will plague your very soul. Unworldly visions that cannot be rationally explained. The stories that you’ll hear as we venture on our 1½ hour walking Ghost Tour, past the gilded mansions and palaces are only whispered about on Galveston. People here are too afraid to open a dialog with the dead… afraid to unlock the gates of hell. We’ll unravel the horrible, scary secrets that lurk inside the ghost sanctuaries… secrets kept for the past 150 years! We have researched stacks of photographs and letters from those who won’t stay dead! We’ll dive warily into the haunted past and uncover the reasons why this unstoppable paranormal force still grips the island.

Where you'll be

First stop is Sealy Mansion where ghosts of children like to put on plays for their living audience. Next is the Normandy Inn which is a pilgrimage site for those who practice voodoo, black magic, Satanism and witch craft. Third is Ashton Villa where the ghost of Bettie Brown can be seen walking the lavish halls during events. Last we stop at the Durst House where Robert Durst chopped up his neighbor's body and dumped it into the Galveston Bay.

Our tour guide was Brittany. Even in the first fifteen minutes when she gave a brief history of the island, she had set the mood for a unique experience. Perfect amounts of creepy, comedic relief, and even an opportunity to pet an 118 year old cat. Toby was the best.

This was a fun tour with great stories. It was a very large group, which I was not expecting, but the host made sure we all got to see and hear the stories of the island
