What you'll do

We will first take you to my personal favorite Kyoto shrine and the UNESCO world heritage site, "Shimogamo Shrine."

1. Explore the UNESCO world heritage site of Shimogamo Shrine
2. Appreciate the beauty of the Honden Main Hall
3. Take photos outside the Romon gate
4. Explore the ancient forest of Tadasu no Mori and bathe in its fresh forest air

After all the walking you'll be feeling hungry, so we will then head to a delicious, long-standing traditional Japanese Kaiseki restaurant for a Kaiseki lunch.
There's no need to be nervous either because, in addition to the menu and ingredients, we'll also make sure to explain how to eat and the manners surrounding Kaiseki as well!

Hi, nice to meet you!
I'm a member of the media website, Sharing Kyoto - which shares information about Kyoto and works to make this place as beloved by the people of the world as it by us.
I write a lot of different articles for the website; however, my specialty is Shinto Shrines.

Through my Instagram account @Shrinegirl, I have visited over 100 Shinto shrines in Kyoto alone.
I am simply in love with Kyoto's shrines, and every day am doing my best to study and learn more about their history and gods.

Additionally, I also like to eat delicious food, especially Japanese food.
Since coming to Kyoto, l have eaten my share of beautiful and skilfully prepared traditional Japanese Kaiseki dinners at some delicious Kyoto Kaiseki Restaurants.
