What you'll do

Located in the Horse Capital of the World, Megson Farms specializes in the unique breeding of rare white and multi-colored Thoroughbreds. The Jockey Club registered the first white Thoroughbred in 1963 and only a few hundred Thoroughbreds have been registered since. Megson Farms is home to the largest herd of white Thoroughbreds in the world.

This is a guided tour of a Thoroughbred breeding farm. The farm is also home to rabbits, chickens and quails - a fun and interactive stop on the tour! Depending on the day, we may engage with various professionals in the Thoroughbred industry, as this is working Thoroughbred breeding farm.

After the tour, take a break at one of our many picnic tables or explore the gift shop.

Communicated with both Valerie and Berva and Berva led my tour. Berva is warm, very knowledgeable and approachable with any questions you have along the way. She encourages interaction with her horses (which was my personal goal for the tour) and let me have some prolonged picture and video time of their newest foal. It was a treat to say the least. Their hospitality, facilities and love of their herd is second to none. Thank you Berva! I will be back. :)

Wow. I was very inspired by my visit to Megson Farm. The white horses were so rare and beautiful. Also, the story of this mother/daughter operation fueled by big dreams and hard work. Cheering for the white!! Thank you for a wonderful visit!

Beautiful farm, beautiful horses, beautiful time with Berva and the animals! Our family was in the area to tour UK, and we decided to do this tour with my horse-loving daughter. Berva and the trainer were kind enough to fit in time with us spur of the moment, and were so knowledgeable about this amazing breed. We truly enjoyed our evening at Megson farm and hope we can get back one day!

This is a beautiful location where you get to be up close and personal with some of the horses. She has other animals there as well. She even shared a chicken egg with my son, which made his whole trip. He is now trying to make it hatch into a chicken with the bright idea of calling it "Nugget" if all goes according to plan. Haha. Highly suggest checking this tour out. Also, it looked like they had really cute set ups for group meetings or where you could have drinks/charcuterie during the tour.

Fantastic experience. A very inexpensive activity. You get a lot of interaction with the horses and the host is super friendly. Very unique, rare, and beautiful animals, in a gorgeous setting. I highly recommend everyone visits if you are in this location.

Was a great experience Valerie was super friendly and knowledgeable. And the horses were beautiful. Was raining for part of are tour but Valerie didn't let the rain bother her and we didn't care until it came down in buckets then we headed for a nearby barn. Had a great chat with her trainer too. We loved it highly recommend.
