What you'll do

Skip the crowds and let me take you on an adventure. My personal hands on tour will pick your party up (6 people max) and transport you to a rarely seen Redwood Grove (including a light hike), then off to 2 creek water falls in the bass lake area with amazing nature views. All along the way we will have discussions on the rich history of the area. We will top it off by heading to a secret vista of Bass Lake deep in the Sierra National Forest. 4 hour tour.

Hey, this is James with Yosemite South tours, I was born and raised in the Yosemite South Gate area and have extensive knowledge of the area from the shores of Bass Lake to the top of the Sierra Crest. I know the area through the back door and all the special spots not seen by the general public. My Co host Charlie and I have countless Sierra national forest hiking trips, I’ve filmed a Sierra crossing documentary from Bass Lake to Mammoth, taught skiing and snowboarding in Yosemite and have explored and studied the area and history for over 40 years.
