What you'll do

We meet inside “Starbucks 1300 chestnut Street corner” at 13th inside an awesome landmark “the Wanamaker Building” AKA the real Prince & Company Dept store from the 1987 classic movie “Mannequin” starring Kim C (before “Sex in the City”) Andrew McCarthy & the legendary “Golden Girl” Ms. Estelle Getty! Together we’ll walk and re-live the scenery here and also see many incredible things here behind the walls :-) it’s an incredible structure built in 1911 by Chicago architectural genius Daniel Burnham. John Wanamaker even built in the largest playable Organ in the world, so customer can enjoy while shopping with written satisfaction guarantees! I’m an exclusive building guide to access to the secure building is not open to the general public, only some places in the first three floors. I’m going to take us into the great areas hidden from view but still in the Building.

What an amazing experience, not just to see the set of the 1987 movie classic, but to tour the famous John Wanamaker building, Including the world-famous organ. I would highly recommend the store to anyone visiting the city, and not just fans of the movie.

Steve was by far the best guide I have ever had! He was knowledgeable and passionate about the building, history and even the quirks that he found to be notable and special-we found to be special too.

Excellent opportunity that I’m so happy I took advantage of during my time in Philly! Steve’s knowledge about the history of the building is impressive and very interesting. I learned so much from him and saw many incredible behind the scenes—items from the movie and much, much more! I would wholeheartedly recommend this experience!

SOOO much more than just a movie tour!! Steve gave us a heady cocktail of equal parts architecture, movie, and music history, shaken and strained through an unforgettable immersive experience. If you’re nice, Steve will even show you the secret Christmas Dickens Village, and let you pose as mannequins in the store windows!! A truly hidden gem in Philadelphia. Not to be missed. So VIP. P.S.- don’t watch Mannequin 2.

I have not seen the movie, but I will now! I went to this experience with a friend who loves it, and we both enjoyed the tour so much. The building's architecture and details are beautiful. Steve's passion about the movie and the history of the building is contagious. He knows a lot about the building and has access to secret spaces from the movie and more.
