What you'll do

Scottsdale’s #1 ranked TripAdvisor outdoor activity. Our rigorous Sunset Sonoran Desert Jeep Tour is a bumpy off-road sightseeing tour of spectacular sights throughout the rough trails of the Tonto National Forest, connected to Scottsdale, Arizona.

Experience a world-famous Arizona Sunset as our expert tour guides teach you about Sonoran desert flora, fauna, and local history. As a USDA special recreation permit holder, we provide insider access to the most scenic off-road trails in the Scottsdale area. Although it’s a rough ride, we ensure all guests are comfortable. At sunset, we will stop at the most scenic point of the trail. At that time, guests will have the opportunity to take pictures from outside the Jeeps. For guests 21+, we offer complimentary Arizona craft beer at the lookout point. After sunset, we will drive back to our Scottsdale operations office.

As an Airbnb experience, you will avoid our large tour crowds and will be in a group of 10 or fewer guests. You will be paired with our highest rated tour guides.

My daughter and I loved our sunset Jeep tour! Our driver Marianne was very knowledgeable about the area and we learned a lot about desert plants. The sunset and mountains were beautiful. The ride back does get chilly so the blankets provided were appreciated!

This was a great experience! Our group said it was the highlight of our time in the Phoenix area - the Jeeps were a lot of fun (ours was brand new, too!), the hosts were kind and knowledgeable, and the sunset views were unbeatable! We had a large enough group to book a private tour, and it was well worth it. I would definitely recommend this to group of friends traveling together!

This was our favorite activity during our trip! We explored an area my friends and I had never been to before and the scenery was gorgeous as the sun was setting. Our guide Sean was extremely knowledgable and shared personal stories that made us laugh. They provided personal touches that made us feel comfortable such as beverages, and blankets for the ride back. I highly recommend this tour!

This was a great experience and we recommend it especially if it is your first time to Arizona (like we are). The landscape and the sunset was beautiful. Our driver Sean was very friendly and very knowledgeable. We learned so much about the desert plants in a very fun and interactive way. Do make sure to wear warm clothing as they instructed, it does get cold after sunset.
