What you'll do

“The purpose of life is to live it, to taste experience to the utmost, to reach out eagerly and without fear for newer and richer experience.” - Eleanor Roosevelt

We'll meet at the entrance of the trail and start with brief introductions, a review of the route, safety briefing - and pause to set an intention for the hike. Our trek begins on a wide relatively flat trail, then up along short climb to the crossroads. The trail delves deeper into the forest as it winds its way along the ridge until we reach the deck overlooking the Georgian Peaks Ski Club, showcasing panoramic views of Georgian Bay.

On the deck facing our big blue bay, I'll lead a beginner-friendly yoga session* to connect our mind, body and spirit with the land and the lake (AKA Spirit Lake by Ojibway Indians). Afterwards, we'll have time to relax and enjoy the scenery at the summit, spending approximately 1 hour at the lookout. Then we'll continue our hike and loop back through the forest to our car. Throughout the hike, we'll take water breaks and pause for mindful moments... forest bathing.

You'll leave feeling refreshed and rejuvenated - powered by the beauty of nature.

We had a wonderful morning hiking and doing yoga with Marissa! Marissa was great with everyone no matter what level of yoga they were at . It was my husband's first time doing yoga and he loved it! The hike was fun and the view from the platform was amazing! We would definitely do it again! It is one of the top things you should put on your list of things to do when you visit Collingwood!

My husband and I were thrilled by this experience. Marissa is kind and very gentle. She gave us heads up for what to expect in the hike and when we get to the Georgian Peaks. The hike was very nice through a forest and on a way back through an open space with butterflies around us and smell of freshness. When we got to the top of the hill, all we could say was WOW! Seeing the Georgian Bay from the top was so splendid! Doing yoga on the top of the Georgian Peaks was very special and it added even more waves of aha moments for us. Marissa was gently correcting us to make sure we are doing it right. She had a relaxing music with her too. Nature has gifted us that day with light wind, sun and dark blue waters of Georgian Bay and Marissa shared her interesting stories. She gifted us with such an amazing yoga experience on the top of the hill and the most beautiful meditation :) Thank you so much Marissa!

Yoga with Marissa was an amazing experience. Marissa has wonderful energy and was easy to talk and share stories with. The hike through the forest was very calming and a great way to connect with Marissa before the session. The view of the bay was beautiful and the yoga class was the perfect way to start the day. I felt grounded and energized after our yoga session. Marissa has a passion for what she does that you can truly feel and I'm grateful for the time we shared together. If your in the area or planning a trip to Collingwood I highly recommend booking Marissa for an unforgettable yoga experience. Many blessings!
