What you'll do

The guests will have the opportunity to learn how to make the authentic Spanish paella, as well as the best Spanish sangria. There are five varieties of paella and the diner can choose the one he prefers when booking:
1) MOUNTAIN PAELLA: Made with vegetables and Iberian pork lizard, a very tasty part of the pork attached to the ribs, measuring approximately 40 cm long and 1 or 2 cm wide. It has no bones and leaves an incredible flavor.
2) SEA PAELLA: With seafood and vegetables.
3) MIXED PAELLA: With meat, seafood and vegetables
4) BLACK RICE PAELLA: Made with vegetables, squids and their ink. This rice is accompanied with a garlic mayonnaise called alioli, which is very tasty.
5) FIDEUA: Made with vegetables, seafood and a kind of special noodles.
Drinks: Homemade Sangria, White wine, Sherry wine. Other drinks are available.
People who wish are welcome to participate actively in the preparation of the recipe. Meanwhile cooking the paella , you will have the opportunity to taste different Spanish tapas in a lively chat atmosphere where I will give you some tips about all the cultural and gastronomic sites that you can and should visit in Seville.
In the end we will taste a family dessert, a recipe that has passed from generation to generation and which was called by a former guest as "a thrue temptation".He was a pastry Chef, so prepare yourselves for this delicious experience

My name is María Robles and I am a Sevillian, in love with my city and its gastronomy.
It was a long time ago when I decided to open the doors of my house and create social relationships around the dining table.
My goal is to open my house to anyone who travels to Seville from anywhere in the world and give them the opportunity to have the experience of getting to know each other by sharing dinner, to make new friends and enjoy the authentic Spanish cuisine. Where you'll be

The dinner will take place in a typical Sevillian house, listed by the City Council as a cultural and protected heritage. It was built by the famous architect, Anibal Gonzalez, main reference of the Sevillian regionalist architecture and a Architect Director of the Iberoamerican exhibition of 1929.
If the weather is in our favor, then the events will be carried out on the porch, with candlelights and smell of orange blossom.

Eat at home with a former chef! And what a home... great 1920s mansion with a lot of style goes so well together with a host that will make you feel like visiting friends. Not to mention the wonderful quality of the food you’ll eat and prepare if you like to participate. Highly recommended experience!!

Amazing experience. Maria made us feel so welcome in her home and provided an experience we won't ever forget. I tell everyone that this was one of the best parts of our trip to Spain. Definitely pace yourself with the food though! It's all so delicious but you'll want to save room for dessert at the end of the night! Even after the experience ended, Maria continued to be an amazing host, answering questions we had about the recipe over email. Highly recommend!

Let me start by saying that this was unique and one of the best things we did in Spain. There are other paella making classes, but NONE of them will give you this experience. It was more than just learning to cook delicious paella (which it was), or sangria (also delicious), Maria really went the extra mile in making us feel welcome into her home and to give us a wonderful time. She had prepared several small portions of traditional Spanish foods for us to try that were ready to enjoy at different parts of the cooking process, which was comprehensive and informative. There was even an olive oil taste test! She also made an effort to get to know us and talk about her life too, so an experience that could have been awkward was so comfortable I left feeling like I had visited an aunt from out of town. Maria was a great host and of all the things we did in Spain I think this will be the one I remember most fondly. I could not recommend this experience more highly. Do it, you won't regret it!

My trip originally began with two girlfriends at a 5* horse show in Pau, France. By the time I had arrived in Seville we had all gone our separate ways, one on to Paris to meet up with her husband and my other travel mate back to the United States for her job. Traveling solo, once I made it to Seville I signed up for Maria's class, and I am so delighted I did. Maria immediately reached out and made contact with me. She was friendly, charming, and engaging. Come the evening of our class I had mis-read the arrival time (doy!) and arrived more than 30 minutes early. That being said, Maria invited me right into her private patio area, served me a glass of wine, sat and entertained me until it was time to begin the class. Without a doubt, Maria is an exceptional instructor. She is outgoing and made me feel right at home...in her home. Her two children stopped by the kitchen for introductions and were very polite and outgoing. What an awesome family! Not only was the paella and sangria absolutely delicious, there was plenty of it. Maria provided clear written instructions (so I could cook for my friends back in the states) and we cooked and dined together like long lost friends. This was my first Airbnb experience and thanks to Maria, it will not be my last. Anyone considering a cooking class in Seville, should definitely sign up with Maria.

We had such an amazing experience with Maria. I did the cooking class with three of my girlfriends for a fun night out in Sevilla. Maria was kind, knowledgeable, and fun to talk with. It was so fun getting to learn to make some authentic Spanish dishes with her.
