What you'll do

My private wine tours feature visits to world’s famous Saint Emilion vineyard in a very cozy and friendly atmosphere.

I will meet you at Place de Stalingrad at 9am and will drive you to Pomerol to discover the gem of the appellation (a short stop).
We will then take off to our first visit - a family-run estate, discovering the vineyards, vat rooms, learning about wine making process, followed by wine tasting (2-3 wines).
Next we’ll take a walk in the beautiful, picturesque medieval village of Saint Emilion (UNESCO World Heritage Site) discovering its main monuments. You will also have a chance to sample Saint Emilion’s speciality - the delicious macarons.
We’ll then make a stop at a local bakery for a quick lunch/snack (not included in the price) and will head to the second chateau for a visit and wine tasting (2-3 wines).

I will guide you throughout this trip by giving you lots of interesting information that will help you understand the region and its wines.

We will return to Bordeaux (Place de Stalingrad) at around 2:30pm.

If we could leave 100 stars, we would. Malgosia was an extremely knowledgeable and engaging host with an awesome sense of humour and was highly punctual. She really knew her stuff and didn't mind the fact that most of our questions were of the novice level. The chateaux were an integral part of the visit and the owners were very fun and welcoming (hope you like red wine!) But our favorite stop was St. Emilion. Having Malgosia's seemingly endless knowledge on the region, the wines, and of the town itself was an invaluable bonus for our Bordeaux trip. Pair that with the fact that she is an excellent photographer and you have the complete package! She took covid precautions seriously and did a wonderful job of making us feel one with France, one with wine! We can't recommend this enough to anyone still considering it. Malgosia was very patient, helpful, and best of all she was very friendly. We left the experience feeling like we have known Malgosia our entire lives and we will sing praises of this half day experience from the highest mountaintop and across the lowest valleys; from Appalachia to the Himalayas! The value is definitely there if you appreciate a more persoanlized and intimate tour with an outgoing and engaging host, then book this adventure and pray for good weather! Thank you Malgosia!!! 100 stars!

Je recommande pour tous les amateurs de vins Bordeaux. J'ai pu apprendre et approfondir les bases du vin. Ensuite on a découvert des endroits magnifiques grâce à l'hôte.

This experience had great value for its price. She had great insight to small family-run estates. I loved that she didn't take us to any tourist traps, but rather to establishments run and frequented by locals. If you love wine or want to learn about wine, go with Malgo!

Malgorzata was an exceptional host! She really knows a lot about wines, particularly in Bordeaux. You are able to visit some small family estates and often talk to the owners, which creates a unique experience to learn from those who made the wine! I’d recommend this tour to anyone wanting to learn more about wines - Malgorzata does not mind explaining the basics of winemaking or how one should taste wine, and I didn’t feel embarrassed about my lack of knowledge of Bordeaux wines. It was truly a great experience!

It was a very nice tour. There was nobody else signed up for the tour and I spent a lot of time selecting wines at a nice wine shop in St Emilion. When we realized that we were running late, she changed her original plan for me, so that we could still arrive at the winery on time and secure enough time for visiting the wine cave and for wine tasting, which was my highest priority. She was very flexible and accommodative. She has studied wines a lot and she shared her knowledge with me throughout the tour. I highly recommend her tour.

My husband and I were absolutely thrilled with the tour that Malgorzata led! She was a delightful sommelier who passionately shared her vast knowledge of the wine regions in France in perfect English. Our tour took us to two vineyards (where we tasted their top wines!) and to the town of Saint- Emilion, where we walked around the quaint shops and buildings, toured a church, ate lunch and devoured delicious macarons in a sweet shop. She drove safely in a nice car, was thorough in her directions and encouraged us to ask questions. I highly recommend taking a tour with Malgorzata! Well worth it!

More tips

In this difficult situation this year I'd highly appreciate the understanding from single travelers that organizing a tour for only 1 person is very complicated for myself and our hosts in the estates and requires putting much more effort and costs for almost 0 revenue.
