What you'll do

Kenya, like any other country has a variety of local foods. We shall start by having a snack and a drink that are typically Kenyan.
After this, we shall move to our next stop while getting to know the names and histories of a number of Kenyan streets. Here we shall have a wonderful meal while being taught about how it was prepared as well as its local name.
We shall then have a number of other snacks before ending the experience

I am an individual that not only loves visiting new places but also loves exploring the traditions and foods of that land. We have come to love Kenyan food and it'd be with great pleasure that we would share the same. This is a wonderful experience in which you will know a number of Kenyan foods plus the way they are prepared.

Loved my little food tour with Cynthia!! I’m not an adventurous food person but knew I couldn’t come to Nairobi and miss out on the food experience. Cynthia has so much energy to share her passion for food with you. Also she chose a very clear location to meet so there was no getting lost for me. Definitely recommend!

My boyfriend and I did this food tour in early Feb. Cynthia was not our host. Our host was quit shy and didn’t talk much or tell us anything about the food. We went to two different restaurants and ordered a fried fish, then a plate of fried potatoes. We did not try a variety of different things. This tour has potential, I think we may of just had an off night.

This was a waste of time and money, and I would not recommend this experience to anyone. At the absolute last second, Cynthia messaged us to say she was sending her friend to guide the tour instead of herself. This person met us at the meetup point, and wordlessly took us to a street vendor. She turned to us and asked "What do you want?" which seemed pretty odd, being that she was the tour guide. For the rest of the tour, she said almost nothing to us unless we asked a direct question. She ordered all the food without saying anything about it to us or asking us for input. She did not enrich the experience by providing interesting cultural or personal context. She barely spoke to us. You could easily re-create this experience on your own by googling "Top 5 Kenyan foods" and picking a couple of local Nairobi restaurants. We met a couple on the tour, who we spoke to afterwards and agreed with us on the low quality of the tour.

The tour with Cynthia was a good start for me to get to know Nairobi and the food culture. She is also very educational, she knows a lot and likes to give her knowledge. She is a very pleasant person and very nice accompaniment even beyond the food topic. Thank you very much Cynthia!
