What you'll do

Immerse yourself in nature and, on the other hand, in 3000 years of history with this tour along the "Regina Viarum". Touch the stones and the thousand years old walls, or the cobblestone of the Appian Way. Our bike experience inside the ancient history of Rome will start by riding a comfortable trekking bike, guided by an expert tour leader. The starting point is situated a few steps from the Colosseum, from there we will reach the ruins of Caracalla's Thermal Baths and, after crossing the Aurelian Walls we will proceed in the quiet atmosphere of the Roman countryside to reach the Ancient Appian Way. Passing by St. Callisto and St. Sebastiano Catacombs, the ruins of Circus of Massenzio, and the mausoleum Tomb of Cecilia Metella. Before cycling back we will admire the ruins of the archaeological site of Capo di Bove.

My friend Stefano and I love biking and spend our time in open air. We've been working in the tourism industry for many years. We love interacting with tourists to show them all that this beautiful city has to offer.
Rome has so much to see and we think that biking is a great and efficient way to see everything in a good amount of time!
Our tours starts a few meters away from the Colosseum, a perfect starting point for tourists discovering Rome, and we provide bikes conceived in order to bike on comfortable saddles in a position that will allow you to appreciate the urban landscape.

Stefano was a great host. The Apian way is a special ancient road into Rome- citywalls, monasteries, fruit trees and a few interesting stops on the way. Nice to experience Rome away from crowds -also interesting that it is so close to Rome city centre. Stefano gave us time to visit a few places of interest on the way where the entrance was free. The only negative feedback could be that we took the same route back- would have been nice to do a circular route if that was possible. A must do in Rome

Stephano, Anna Elena’s co-host, was really friendly, made me feel safe and excited about riding a bike in the streets of Rome. I never would have done so without him! Met some really great people, as the group was small. I would recommend this to anyone! Not to be missed!

This was an awesome experience and our guide Nicolo was a Gem! We left for a total of 4hrs as his schedule permitted and could spend some time chatting about the route and Rome over a delicious espresso. Great tour and lovely scenic route! A bit of the countryside in the heart of Rome! Thank you Anna Elena for making this possible!

Anna was brilliant about communication before the trip. The bike shop is fantastic and offers e-bikes and normal bikes which you can hire as well, outside of the tour. The location is right by the Colleseum too, easy to find. I had Stefano as my guide. He is a licensed guide who comes from Rome but has lived in the UK and studied languages. He is a fantastic guide. It was like having a cycle ride with a friend. A very knowledgeable one. He was able to tell me about all the history behind the monuments along the cycle ride. I would recommend the tour, especially in the evening when the air is cooler. It is the perfect antidote after being in the city.

Our guide was so friendly and very funny. He seemed to truly love his job. Lots of stops to make sure everyone wasn’t too tired. Made sure we saw many great sights along the road.
