What you'll do

Let me show you my personal favorites in Salzburg, what made me fall in love with this city 8 years ago when I moved here during this lovely walk!
Of course I will include the locations that you cannot miss while you are visiting, but perhaps from a different angle. I will point out places, art pieces, views and share with you stories that you might not discover or hear about otherwise.
During this walk we will visit the centre of Salzburg, you will be able to enjoy its baroque gardens, stroll along its river the Salzach, see its opulent squares; walk amongst its many churches and hills, and along its narrow streets with beautiful pastel coloured houses.
However, Salzburg is not only about the past, tradition and history. Let me show you this town's modern side, the art pieces, the contrast between old and new, which I personally love!
I also think that being introduced to a city doesn't just mean walking around and learning about its past and seeing the sights. I think for the full experience you need to taste the traditional food and drinks, see a concert or visit a museum. That's the reason why I will give you restaurant and cafe recommendations, tell you about events and exhibitions that are happening now.
At the end of our tour you will experience incredible views of the Old Town of Salzburg and the mountains.

Please contact me if you don't see a time suitable for you.

I'm Kata, a licensed guide in Austria. Originally from Hungary, 8 years ago I came to Salzburg on a day trip. On that day I fell in love with this breathtakingly beautiful city, so I quit my marketing job in London, packed my bags, moved and haven't looked back since! I started guiding bike tours, first as a summer job, but I soon realised how much I enjoy showing guests around, sharing my knowledge, and getting to know new people every day. With 7 years of experience and now with my official license I can show it all to you!
My team consists of my friends, who are also official licensed guides in Austria. They love this city as much as I do and they are also passionate about guiding!

Where you'll be

We will start our walk on the right hand side of the river Salzach, see Mirabell Gardens, then cross and stroll along the river towards the Old Town of Salzburg. We will walk through narrow streets, large open squares and at the end up a small hill to visit our final location and enjoy some breathtaking views!

Aanrader!

We ended up having Julia for a tour guide and she was wonderful! It was fun to get to know the city and learn things we wouldn’t have known without doing the tour.

Die Tour hat uns in der wenigen Zeit, die wir zur Verfügung hatten, einen wunderbaren Einblick in die Geschichte und Kultur von Salzburg gegeben. Viele kleine Details, dir wir alleine nicht entdeckt hätten. Vielen Dank!

unfortunately we did not meet Katalyn personally. The tour was really good and was led by Katalyn's friend Tanja Horazdovsky. Thank you for the varied and interesting tour. The two hours have flown by! Great! ... and highly recommended.
