What you'll do

Visiting Denver and want to take a hike? Don't bother renting a car, and getting lost on those backroads. Hiking in Colorado can be an amazing experience, if you are prepared and know where to go.

Experience one of America's most Iconic National Parks! Rocky Mountain National Park offers incredible views, wildlife, and a wonderful experience. I, personally, have seen bear, elk, moose, deer etc on these hikes! We will hike the Bear Lake Trail, up to Dream Lake, and if you're up for it- Emerald Lake. This is a 3.5 mile hike.

Guests will be picked up at at Union Station, Denver, Colorado, right in the heart of downtown. I will then provide transportation to RMNP. Its about a two hour drive each way.

After the hike, we will stop for lunch in beautiful Estes Park, or head back to Denver. Summer is peak season for this hike, and while the hike may not take too long, traffic in the park may take up more time than estimated.

I am an avid hiker and love to share my passion with friends that visit, one suggested I share it with others. I've lived in the mountains most of my life and believe in educating people about nature and environmental conservation.

When I am not giving private hiking tours, I give hiking tours for another company and am also an Art Teacher for Denver Public Schools. During the winter I love to snowboard and take my pups for snowshoe hikes.

This was an amazing experience that I am so glad I booked on my short trip to Denver. Justice was an expert guide in every way, from deciding on an early departure, getting us to the trailhead, guiding us along the way to each scenic spot, and where we stopped for lunch. She is very personable, making everyone feel like a close friend. I look forward to doing more hikes with Justice when I return to Denver. Highly recommend.

This day trip was fantastic and I would not have had this experience without Justice. The hike was a personal challenge for me, but Justice was very motivating (along with the others in the group); she made me feel comfortable and competent all the way up the mountain. The prize at the top (and every lake/mountain view) was worth every step. I very much recommend local trails with Justice, she will make your day in the rockies the highlight of your trip to Denver :)

I was on the hike with the individual who gave a 1 star review. I disagree with that rating. I really enjoy Justice's experiences. I went on 2 during my trip. She is so warm and inviting and really cares about the experience. She specifically asked for feedback regarding the experience and these concerns were not articulated at that time. Justice messaged us about the snow on the path. Since I had been on an experience with Justice earlier in the week, I know there was a middle seat belt at that time. Something must have happened to it between trips. This is not something she could have predicted. Justice got to know each of us and really made an effort to make us feel comfortable. She was happy to move at our pace, take pictures of us and learn about our lives. The hike was amazing and I would recommend it it anyone! She even taugh me how to walk in the snow! Love love love this experience!

I do not recommend this experience. The host did not properly plan for the 4 guests that attended. Her Subaru Outback lacked a seat belt for the middle seat on the rear bench and in fact, the Outback can only really seat 3 other adults (5-6ft tall) beside the driver. Not only was one of us without a seat belt both up and back, that person was also constantly rubbing up against and swaying into the two others seated at either side. The description clearly states that Transportation is an essential part of the experience and that it will be the Host's responsibility to do the driving and transport the guests. So I had paid for whole day's parking about half a mile away near Little Man Ice Cream and was intent on driving up with the Host. The Host also did not prepare us for the snow in the description. She could have included shoe spikes in either the "What I'll Provide" or "What to Bring" section. These details are integral to the experience.

I am so glad that I did this Airbnb experience!! The 9 hour trip may seem a little intimidating but I 150% recommend doing the Rocky Mountain National Park hike with Justice! Justice was so knowledgeable, super friendly, and accommodating, I couldn’t have asked for a better tour guide! She drove us all the way to the national park (which is about 2 hours each way) and took us on the most beautiful hike I’ve ever been on! (Seriously, I’m not joking!) We hiked to 4 different lakes! The hike is moderate and well taken care of! The views were gorgeous! I would love to do this again next time I’m back in Denver!
