What you'll do

Would you like to explore the first apartment neighborhood of Istanbul (Asian Side) with wall art and history that goes all the way to 15th century combined? We will discover the contradictions of artists, their potential to transfer information, their language of protest by wall art. I invite you to an open museum at the heart of the local life in Kadikoy streets. In that museum, we will see paintings of artists from Cape Town ( JAZ, Freddy Sam), Fu, Lakormis, Wicx, Eskreyn, Rad, Cins ve Canavar.

Kadıkoy is the taste of entertainment, from shopping to culture with unlimited possibilities; along with a great historical background.

Hello, I am Deniz. I am a sociologist living in Istanbul since I was born. I have finished my master studies from Istanbul Bilgi University, Sociology Department recently. Currently I am working in a congress organization company as a project assistant and I am a PhD student in sociology program.

Kadikoy is one of the most important venues in Istanbul with a dynamic neighborhood, which is the scene of the daily life of the locals. My uncle, who will accompany us on the tour and share historical and cultural information, has been exploring Kadikoy for years. We will be very happy to share and experience Kadikoy with you!

It was a great walk through the not-so-tourist part of Istanbul. Denise is wonderful person! She is very attentive and friendly. The walk is accompanied by stories about the past and present of the area. This part of the city will be interesting to those who is interested in the modern life of historical cities and street art. Murals in this area are really interesting! In the middle of our way we had a small coffee break on the street with a huge number of hipster coffee shops. It was a very pleasant addition to the walk) It was really nice time, so thanks to Deniz and her uncle!!!
