What you'll do
I'll pick you up from your hotel in an Uber, then we'll head to the Giza pyramids. We'll do a 2-3 hour tour whether on animals, on foot, or by car. Then we'll go to Saqqara and Dahshur to see the first pyramid in history (Djoser's Step Pyramid) and the Red and Bent Pyramid. Afterwards we can go to the City of the Dead.

So here's the thing, if you're looking for an eccentric, unorthodox tour guide, I'm your guy. Officially I'm not one, but I am a member of the "Tourist Friends Society". I offer controversial theories, fun explanation, and less boring historical facts that you can easily google. In addition, we can visit the local, non-touristic neighborhoods that you wouldn't be really going on your own...
Where you'll be
We'll see the Great Pyramid of Giza, the Sphinx, temples and tombs, and a bunch of other pyramids too, even enter one of them. We'll also see the first pyramid that was ever built, the Step Pyramid, and enter the Red Pyramid, which is an amazing experience in itself. And in the city of the dead we'll see the tombs of both the local people and the last royal family of Egypt, in addition to glass-making workshops and houses living among the dead.

Ahmed was a really nice guy that was more than happy to chat with us which was great. However, this experience just wasn't quite as advertised- he was basically a super expensive uber driver that gave us minimal information here and there. We had 4 people packed into his tiny car (which included hours of driving) and at the Giza pyramids, he let us know it would be an extra $5 an hour because he had listed the experience for 6 hours- we said fine because we thought it would go over 0.5 hrs- MAYBE an hour. However we ended up doing a 9.5 hour tour to see everything he had advertised (including the 30+ minutes when he got lost downtown and charged us for that time). We were aware he wasn't going to have as much knowledge as other tour guides, and we were prepared for that with the original price. But with the extra time, paying uber prices for gas and getting charged 400 pounds for parking (he was paying 5 pounds for parking tickets that I saw- maybe giza parking was just that expensive) it ended up being just as much as hiring an educated guide. By the end most of us were exhausted and starving (we hadn't stopped to eat because we just wanted to get to the next place bc we hit our 6 hours as we were leaving the 2nd stop of pyramids) and annoyed with how much more we had to pay than expected. Like I said, he was a super nice guy and I believe his food experience would be great- but I wouldn't recommend this experience with him.

We had a great experience with Ahmed, it was exactly what we wanted: he arranged the schedule accordingly to our points of interest, so we'd see everything we wanted without wasting any time. He also took care for us for the tips that are kind of mandatory in Egypt 😄 He also recommended us two very nice restaurants in Cairo, arranged to go with his car around, introduced us to people that were a pleasure to talk to. He definitely was our best guide in Egypt! Thanks, Ahmed! Maybe we'll meet again!

Ahmed has been a lovely guide, very helpful and funny. I enjoyed his radical theories, fun facts, and the sense of security he provided as he's a big, muscular guy, which was helpful going in the non-touristic areas that I normally wouldn't have gone to myself. I loved the cool Egyptian tattoo that I got at his studio as well. Definitely coming back!
