A number of years ago I stumbled across Frank Griffin at a simple book signing in the Books A Million here in Columbus, Georgia. "Touched by Fire" is a book which documents the co incidents between Frank and his father Johney Frank Griffin. Realizing his sister was a family friend I was hooked. From there to "The Tragedy and Triumph of Phenix City, Alabama" by Margaret Barnes my once boring town became the most interesting place on earth. I have done walk troughs, hosted town hall meetings, done TV interviews for Alabama Public television and hosted gatherings for those bitten by this southern crime drama which captivated the nation coast to coast after the assassination of newly elected Attorney General for the State of Alabama, Albert Patterson in June of 1954.

We will have a printed map of the historic Phenix City Trail listed as well as Geocaching info. The crime seen, the Bentley Sporting Goods location, Pumkin bottom cemetery where Hugh A. Bentley is laid to rest. And other burial locations or prominent players.
