What you'll do

We will jump right into two traditional villages, Bukchon Hanok Village and Ikseon Hanok Village, both very known for their traditional beauty and as filming locations. Even though they might seem interchangeable, the Bukchon Hanok Village and Ikseon Hanok Village share different traditional backgrounds.

First, at the Bukchon Hanok Village you will see the traditional houses (Hanok) of affluent and royal families during the Chosun Dynasty. You will be able to wear the traditional Korean clothing, Hanbok, at your discretion. We will visit few Hanoks and see the interior and famous Kdrama sights as well as viewpoints for the best shooting experience. We will also go to one Korean Traditional tea place where you will experience authentic tea drinking cultures and vibes.

Next, we will move to Ikseon Village, where you will have a peek into the modern Chosun lifestyle during the enlightenment period. This place while not as traditional as the Bukchon Hanok village, still has its own beauty as many thematic cafes and dining places are located. We will visit famous places restaurants and cafes. You will also be able to wear the clothes which people wore during the enlightenment perioㅇ

I am currently a student with an interest of shooting photography and videos. I have been living in Seoul, Korea over 15 years trying to find and capture the traditional beauty. I have given many tours to my foreign friends as well as other people from abroad. I know hidden places that will amaze you as well as culinary culture that you won't regret experiencing.

Bukchon Hanok Village located at Anguk station, is famous for its past reputation as the town for the royal and affluent families during the Chosun Dynasty. It is located on a hilly area, which gives amazing view at the peak.
The Ikseon Hanok Village also located a bit further from the Bukchon Village, offers different traditional vibe as it emulates the scenery during the Enlightenment period. You will get a feel of the early modernity of Korea

This is easily the best tour we've been on. Sungmin went above and beyond on this tour in every way; the places we went to, the time he spent with us and the food and drink choices. It was like spending the afternoon/evening with an old friend. Thanks again for hospitality and helping with some great vegetarian choices.

Honestly the best experience we’ve had. The two traditional villages Sungmin took us to was so unique and fascinating in their own way. Sungmin was also very considerate and flexible with the tour to fit our needs. Highly recommend!

Sungmin is a really great host who makes you feel really comfortable. Having someone who knows the place really made a difference and we learned a lot of facts about korean culture during the visit. It would not have been the same without Sungmin!
