What you'll do

The ancient activity of knitting is presented with a modern twist: this concept is conceived as a promotion of the process of creation, celebration of the transformation of a raw material into a finished product after it has passed through our hands.
We live in a time when there are numerous things we want, we possess, we consume and ultimately we reject.  In today’s consumer society, everything we know are these finished products. Wrapped in a shiny paper, advertised as things crucial to our existence.
Knitting is a universal language, we can knit using anything we want, be it a sailor’s rope, nylon tapes, garbage bags, elastic rubber, etc. The possibilities are endless. The goal is to open new horizons for the participants, not necessarily in the sense that after the workshop you begin crocheting or hand knitting at home, but to transmit you the joy of exploiting materials and resources; perhaps even modelling trash into something completely new. To give everyone an insight into the new possibilities and the joy of creation.

I'm Mihaela, a creative designer of knitwear, dedicated to creating high-quality knitted pieces that last and become better over time, just like good wine.
I studied in the field of fashion design at the prestigious Istituto Marangoni in Milan, but only after completing a master’s degree in the heart of England (Nottingham Trent University), I began thinking about writing my own fashion story.
I work with small communities of women in Croatia and Bosnia & Herzegovina that produce my Artisanal Collection.
I have been holding sustainable knitting workshops for 3 years now and I have 6 successful editions behind me. The workshops have been held on design weeks (Milan, Italy and Zagreb, Croatia) as well as cultural festivals etc.
